#1 Posted: 6/17/2012 10:18:35 PM I think I would go way back to Miami Vice. Music, acting, intensity and originality. (Michael Mann never made a mistake).

#2 Posted: 6/18/2012 5:10:02 AM It's really impossible to say because new shows keep coming out but if I had to pick one show to watch for the rest of my life it would be south park.
However my favorite show right now that continues from episode to episode is breaking bad.

the early cast was great with Jerry Orbach and Chris Noth as partners and later George Dzundza and Paul Sorvino (one of my all time fav actors) as the cops, Michael Moriarty, Richard Brooks and Jill Hennessy as the asst DA's and Steven Hill as Manhattan DA Adam Schiff. my 2nd fav all time cops drama after Hill Street Blues. don't think the recent Law and Orders have been nearly as good as the earlies. |

I also really like a show that I just re-discovered from the late 70's. Really enjoyed it as a kid....'EMERGENCY!' |

Good point. Hell of a series but you're right.

NBC has been running those after Saturday Night Live saturday nights. Jerry Orbach, Chris Noth, Michael Moriarty, Jill Hennessy and Steven Hill still my favorite cast from the series
got to thinking about my fav miniseries of all time. these people >>> http://listverse.com/2010/09/28/top-15-miniseries-of-all-time/ listed theirs and I agree with Roots at #1 BUT they leave Centennial, which is my 2nd all-time fav, off their top 15. they DO include Band of Brothers @ #3 and Shogun @ #7 and I, Claudius @ #10 which are ALL excellent.
btw, the I, Claudius episodes are all on YouTube >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr1oJj0Iivw |
