thought it was MUCH better that the original. VERY entertaining action flick. is there ANY action movie with Jason Statham in it that ISN'T GOOD? he single handedly half saved that Stallone wreck "The Expendables". everyone else associated with it was a wooden as a cigar store indian.
watched the 1933 Island of Lost Souls on TCM the other night. it was the 1st movie adaptation of the H. G. Wells novel The Island of Dr. Moreau. good example of the early horror genre.

the way it started out, I thought the teenage assassin character of Hanna would be a less cartoonish version of "Hit Girl" in Kickass BUT no such luck. was some action but the whole movie pretty much Hanna being chased by bad guys with a very few fight scenes. overall  |

Good GOD!!! I thought that was the absolute WORST gambling movie ever MADE. Woody Harrelson, Dennis Farina and the whole damn cast should be totally EMBARRASSED. Gabe Kaplin. who IS a "professional" poker player, has been washed up as an actor for 30 years. his "Welcome Back, Kotter" shtick hasn't worked in YEARS.  |

#21 Posted: 3/7/2012 10:41:32 PM not a "movie" per say BUT watched Soviet War Scare - 1983 on the Military Channel the other night and the "plot" was BETTER than most of the Cold War spy thriller movies I have seen.
