The last two episodes sucked. I realize this is a zombie show about people but in the last two episodes there were zombies on screen for about a minute. The series started out great so I kept waiting for it to pick up, but it never did.

However, I did read all of the comics online and they are 10x better than the show. Very addicting.

No, but it’s rarely a sign of good things to come when efforts progressively get worse and worse with every try. No matter the topic.

they have so much to work with also. The storylines haven't scratched the surface yet.

IMO, it wasn’t as good as last season’s opener, but it was definitely a lot better than the past few episodes.

I watched the last couple episodes from last season and then the 90min opener sun and I've noted a trend. Where are the zombies? This show broke some new ground in zombiedom but the show has devolved into relationships/feelings with zombies in the background. Once that girl was lost we had a zombie gutcheck and 3 zombie Baptists. If that was a Resident Evil style deer at the end of the opener he would have savaged that kid.  Something that I noted was that sometimes these are Romaro-zombies slow/dragging and sometimes these are ResidentEvil/28 Days running zombies. It's a series and it's broke some ground but it's only fair to middling.

no one watching this anymore? I would have thought people would have come to talk about what Shane did in the last episode.

The writing is terrible and they've spent the last 2 eps on 2 kids nobody gives a crap about.

I'm close to quitting

I see what you are saying to a point. But you got to realize that there has to be pieces of the puzzle that cause the other characters to react. These two kids drama has led to drama with the other characters. If the little girl hadn't been missing then Carl doesn't get shot which leads to the introduction to the new characters and the thing that changes Shane, Rick and everyone else. Yes no one gives a garbage about the two kids, but the characters we do care about are affected by the kids.

I wanted to kick Shane in the nuts after I found out what he did.

I saw on a showbiz show about all the hype surrounding the walking dead. So i was looking around on netflicks and i saw the series and decided to see what all the hype was about. I ended up seeing the entire season since season 2 was starting that same day. I was hooked from the start. What i love the most is how they go into great detail into the characters lives and show the characters personalities. It's the best zombie story i have ever seen by far the most realistic one ever put together.

like most people said its bad and getting worse. all these idiots do is run around and hide from the zombies. how friggin hard would it be to run and jump in a tank and spend a week or two just runnin those guy over? or grabbin some of that military ordinance thats lying around and go on a zombie killin spree? you know they arent gonna die on their own so if you want to be free of them theres only one way, kill em all. if they dont want to do that why the darn havent they grabbed a bulldozer and dug a moat around some stronghold. and listening to them whine all the time is getting old. guess what? everyones dead or a zombie, grow a sack. these guys have got to be the dumbest group of survivialists ever. the first episode showed promise but has been going downhill from there

So dumb survivalists run and hide from the zombies while smart survivalists make loud noise and attract every zombie within an earshot?

Survivalist comes from the word survival and that’s exactly what they are trying to do. Survive.  They aren’t trying to risk their lives for the sole purpose of attempting to put a dent in the zombie population that probably numbers in the billions.

This show is WAY overhyped.  I've watched from the beginning, but am close to being done.  There's no point.  It's the same thing every week - run from the zombies.

What's the endgame for these characters?

Where do they need to go?

What do they need to do?

There's no hint of anything to come, and the characters aren't compelling enough.

I just had to see a bit of the premier to remember why I stopped watching this show.

I'm so tired of all the lame-behind characters. The little sheriffs with southern draws are shitty actors and have so much dialogue.

Maybe you see a zombie once in  like 3 episodes.

Where do they need to go?”

Somewhere relatively safe.

What do they need to do?”

Survive.

“What's the endgame for these characters?”

SPOILERS:

In the comic every character you see at this stage of the story ends up being killed and/or becomes a zombie.

So if that's all there is to it, then doesn't that get boring after awhile?
