But but but but i thought match fixing never happens, i thought all sports players are perfect moral agents......This is nothing ..This happens in EVERY single world around the world.......Sportsman and officials are human like everyone else, they cant resist putting their hand in the till.

Didnt Damien Oliver get caught putting $20k on a rival horse?

All sports are rigged, ALL OF THEM...NRL is one of the worst.....

Some of these events are getting to be more like stage plays than competitions now. Hello NBA.

But don't worry league fans, John Grant told me than he isn't guaranteeing the Roosters win the GF, only just making it to the game instead. See! FAIRNESS REIGNS SUPRME!!!

I never had any probs with corrupt NFL officials - they get paid too much money and the vetting process is years in the making before they are even scouted for the NFL.

Incapable refs in the college game, that's a different story

NFL refs have full-time jobs doing something else. It is very hard to make it to the NFL doing games and EVERY SINGLE PLAY OF EVERY SINGLE GAME is watched over on Tuesday of a game week for mistakes and irregularities.

Like morse said, no one is worried about the NFL guys.

Plus, only a few games a year and every single one watched by millions. No throwaway games like n the NBA buried in late-night not on TV and being attended by 4500 people.

I think it varies with each individual. Some are retired, some part time ect. Most have other jobs that are high paying anyway.

AS of now, they make just under 200,000 grand. That will go over 200 grand  by 2019.

I think the average is comparable, but NBA refs can make much more with seniority and the fact they have 82 game schedule, cept they ref no where near that many games.

there are thousands of soccer games played, far more than any other sport, statistically, there's always going to be more fixing just because of pure numbers
