#1 Posted: 9/27/2012 8:18:22 AM Thoughts? I think Mal should have gone in this time and Joey at a later date, i believe it because he has put the media off side. Seems a bit harsh on Mal |

Agree but was he better than Andrew Johns? These kind of awards come down to opinion. I don't think there was anything sinister about Mal being overlooked

I think they are both worthy but with Mal retiring 10 years prior to Joey i just thought he should go in first, Yea i agree nothing sinister but it's a just a shame it's a popularity contest

nothing dubious about making the greatest player to lace on a boot being made an immortal. Mal can go back to complaining about how the game gave him nothing.

#9 Posted: 9/27/2012 10:56:52 PM Andrew Johns revolutionised the kicking game in rugby league
What we see from all the best half backs like JT and Cronk now we were seeing 15 years ago from Johns

No, i think Joey was better but i think they are both worthy i just felt that Mal should go in first. No one could argue that mal doesn't deserve it, so i don't understand why he didn't go in this time and joey the next |

How can you compare an athelete that took PERFORMANCE enhancing drugs to another Athelete who took recreational drugs?
If Joey took ecstacy just before he went onto the field, then he should be given 2 immortal titles if he played like that while on ecstacy.... |

#22 Posted: 9/28/2012 8:47:58 PM Joey Johns is the best player i ever saw play...
TBH, up until 2001, he was good, but nothing over the top...however, once Mathew Johns left, in that 01 season and beyond, he just went to a level i have never seen before...
His ability to create for others was superb. He also had an ability to create for himself, especially close to the line, with that step and strength...
His kicking game was superb, both long and short...and most importantly, he could tackle like a lock. Easily the best player i have seen....
FFS he made Shaun Rudder look good.....that in itself makes him worthy of an immortal... |

If I snort some blow in the holidays or on the occassional long weekend, does that give me an unfair advantage in my workplace? |
