"but the match officials made damn sure there wasn't going to be an upset regardless. "

I am telling you all...Tony Archer is the Tim Donaghy of the NRL.....

"There was a heap of money for Souths and then we heard the Benji rumour," Anderson said. "We're not sure whether Benji will play. We will try and get more information and hopefully re-open (today

So lets think this through logically....Benji would have withdrawn from the game....at the time of the decision, who would have known, him, his team mates, and coaching staff......

Did Benji call his family to bet against the Tigs on Sunday because he is out? Or did his team mates or coaching staff call there friends and families to bet against the tigs...

This is further proof.....NO ONE KNEW EXCEPT MEMBERS OF THE TIGS.......and they all jumped on.....

100% agree with this point, Only people in house could have known
Happened a few years back when Warriors had a truck load put on them and then Johns pulled out

It just further proves that players, coaches and refs bet and there families bet on games...

90% of NRL players bet on games, especially the ones they play in.

All players punt. It's become acceptable in league culture.

I am positive Bellamy checks the spread prior to every Storm game. Been on the other side a few times, covering late and Melbourne works hard to get another try or draw a penalty to darn my bet even though they don't need too and it wouldn't surprise me if every player/coach knew what the odds are of the game they're involved in, they're asked on 'The Footy Show' who they'll think win. Blatantly scary but I'm a mugg and will continue to bet it and hope I'm on the 'right' side...

Exactly, players are on the footy show, Fatty specifically mentions the odds of each game and asks the players for there opinions.......

So they KNOW the odds......As if they dont get on, As if.....Euro soccer players earn up to 15 times more than these guys and they get caught, you think NRL players dont get on?

There is someone on here who denies it because he works for a bookmaker, of course he is going to try and bullshit to everyone that its clean because the worst thing a bookmaker wants is the loss of trust and integrity in the game which will impact there business......

Um wouldn't you think a bookmaker would want to blow the whistle quick smart on any activity that has the potential to cost them a lot of money??

And again Rostos, if the NRL is so steeped in corruption WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO BET IT??

Yep, there was alot of money pouring in for the Rabbits, apparently benji is out.....The thing is, money came in before anyone knew...How did they know? The only people who would have known Benji was out was Benji, his team mates, coach and staff.........So it has to be one of them or there families and friends who they specifically told to bet on the game....

No way Tigers win, they wont win after tigs people told them to bet against them...

Its all a big rort, these players are just after money.....and while they get away with it, they will keep on doing it.....Not all of them are brain stupid like Tandy to put large $$$ on an exotic and illiquid market that sticks out like dogs balls......

They bet the more liquid markets like H2H, line and overs and unders.......that way, it is very very hard to detect,

Its like on the market, if someone purchases large large amounts of an illiquid mining stock or its derivative, the ASX automatically gets alerted, that what the 1st goal scoring play is like.....Tandy was just too dumb......

Notice how Munsie when he went to testify against Elias he said he doesnt remember? LOL bullshit, Elias probably told him that he will reveal all the rorts that happen theerby inmpacting the TABs business.

Its all about getting on the right side of the fix, its as simple as that.

Let me say this........A number of years ago, i am talking about 7-8 years ago.

I used to work with a guy who LIVED with one of the biggest stars in the game. I also went out with them a few times, for dinner, bars etc etc....

One day i was on a road trip and the guy i worked with called me up and told me that of the biggest games is out of next weeks game.....There was a test match on on the Fri night, and this star was not backing up for the club side. He told me the player wants to get on. Everyone at work knows that i bet on league every week and he wanted me to go to the TAB with him to put the bet on, after this guy collected the stars cash.....

The rest was history.......The funny thing was, this guy i worked with, told everyone in the office (he wasnt very smart) and then after i told him the implications of what he did he got so scared, i couldnt stop laughing....everyone in the office knew...however, it was too late as the TAB suspended the market...

So just like this case, the player has leaked the info to friends strictly to bet on.....

This star i am talkig about, i will never forget, i went to his house before a grand final qualifier......Anyways after they won, with my friend we went to a private party with them.......that night, the way they were celebrating, i mean celebrating, i have never in my life seen partying like that, they got absolutely mashed faced, they acted as if they won the GF, they were out till the next night....

As soon as i left the party, i put $$$$ against them the following week in the GF and collected good.....

That was an automatic fade, simply because the way they partied and acted as if they won the GF.......

liquid markets like the over/under

yeh, the 5 bucks totals hold make the markets really liquid. You really have zero idea of not just the gambling game, but the industry

and then you accuse someone of perjury so that it can fit into your delusional excuse of why you lose every year. You can lie to us, but you can't lie to yourself

And what be your excuse if benji plays this week?

Let me see......

Melbourne Storm, arguably the best team in the last 10 years of NRL......I am sitting down in my living room in 2010 with Melblurne winning there first 5 games and leading the comp with arguably 4 of the 7 best players in the comp (Slater, Smith, Cronk and Inglis).....They lose to Manly by a point......

Mmmm, i think based on that , i am going to put some $$$ on them to win the spoon...Yeah, i think they will come last, i think even though they are on top of the comp, i really believe they will lose 90% of there games......I think they will lose more games this season than they have in the last 6 seasons combined even though they have the best roster with the best coach.

Yep, i am putting cash on them to win the spoon.....

No NRL official told me they are going to get stripped of all there points and told me to get on

No Storm official told me they are going to get stripped of there points and told me to get on...

I just knew they were going to come last......

While i am at it, i might put some cash on the Phillies and Yankees to finish last in there division, i mean, there is a chance right?

Gutless labor needs to do something about all the sponsorship and odds at every point in the game. It crazy soon they will start putting odds in urinals at the ground, on paddle pop sticks, friggin sky writing the things.

Even during DreamTeam where kids from all ages play. It is just wrong.
