Welcome Fellow Cappers to Mac's Picks. Each Week I will be making 4 football picks, 2 CFL and 2 NFL. When I can I will do a small write up for each pick.

CFL picks

Ticats -3.5 Cavillo not back yet and back up QB's just don't have enough reps yet. Ticats riding the wave.

Riders -4 Nasty injury to Pierce leaves Gyles at the command, Bombers made it interesting last week to screw me on the spread. Not this week though, Riders romp

You might consider the Stamps at -10.5 against the lowly Esks. This team stinks. Take SU if anything.

NFL picks

Rams +3.5 One team is going up the other going down.

Cowboys -3.5 Can't make heads or tails of the Redskins. McNabb will impact the team, too bad it wasn't 3 yrs ago

Also considering the Saints and the Over tonight

I like your two NFL picks for the weekend ... i live here in BC but tend not to watch too much CFL lately....

I have narrowed my NFL picks down to 3 for Sunday ....

Let me know what u think of them...

BCLC oddset (team has to win by 4)

SF    2.00
GB    2.00
DAL  1.90

$20 wins $152

maybe a sprinkle on a DOG ticket

CAR 4.00
CIN   2.75

$5 wins $55

Good Luck

Definitely going to take a shot at the Panthers as a big 5.15 ALC dog.

Leaning tie in the Bengals-Pats matchup.

Still on my Falcons to get some respect today with a SU win.

SF should beat the snot out of the Seahawks...

Can't  really get a read on the GB and Dallas games...so they'll probably just appear on a few small tickets...

Also like the Browns to win SU...a statement I thought I'd never make.

And then sometimes picks come back to bite you in the behind. Been a while since I went 0 for 4.

Week 1 basically means nothing. I will not fade the Cowboys, Falcons or the 49ers, sometimes garbage just happens.

Had a lot of 3 for 4 tickets this past weekend

Anyways I'll pipe in tomorrow with some early leans. Hmmm Colts at Giants Hmmmm

I"to like to first state that my intentions for this thread are to make roughly 100+ picks over the NFL & CFL seasons and end up better than 62.5% avg. I'll be using the ALC point spread.

In the CFL I like Calgary tonight as 2.5 fav's, Sask had a disasterous game against the Bombers last week and major personel changes were made. The 13th man could play a factor as Burris is often taunted by the home crowd. Regardless, Stamps see to do no wrong this year I see the same for tonight. Take the Stamps @ -2.5. The other game i like is the Peg in TO, Major injures will keep the Argos struggling. I like Lemon but I don't think he's quite there yet. Bombers @ +0.5

Other considerations, Als @ -11.5, with Cavillo at the helm I'd probably bite but with Mac|P I'll leave this one alone.

In the NFL I'm going with my early leans taking the Ravens @ -2.5. Too much firepower here and see alot of intimidation against TO and 85. Primadonnas I'm not sure but I\m guessing that the Ravens gets in there heads. Taking the Falcons @ -6.5 in the other game, big things expected here, just can't see them going 0-2.

Other considerations NYJ @ +2.5, the public all over the Pats, and i don't ;understand it. I know I know the MNF game was a poor showing. But I fully expect much better from the Jets. I also llike the Cowboys but I think the line is too high.@ -7.5, I'd be more comfortable around 4.5 to 6
