Just keep this one going. Keep it for the whole season. Easier.

#60 Posted: 4/1/2012 2:08:00 PM My first lean is the Cards Wednesday. Lohse is up first and he is looking good. I think the Cards come out of the gate with a win.

#62 Posted: 4/1/2012 3:35:47 PM As far as the first week goes I really like Philly, Atlanta, and Texas.
For the 3 game series in Pittsburgh the starting pitchers for the Phillies will be Halladay, Lee, and V. Worley. I believe we can get a little extra value in the line with the Phils being on the road and being the opening series of the season. Chances are good that Halladay and Lee will secure a WIN for us in one of the first two games
I LOVE Atlanta on the road against the Mets. Santana has been named the opening day starter for the Mets and I believe we can get the Braves at plus money for the first two games. And lets be honest, it's the Mets, they suck. The Braves are gonna win one of the first two to secure us a WIN
And finally Texas, I believe they will come out firing on all cylinders, I believe Ron Washington will have the team in a very hungry/competitive mindset, White Sox are gonna go through some growing pains this year. Should be an easy WIN for us.
Let me know what you guys think, I'm looking forward to spending the season with you guys!!!!

#63 Posted: 4/1/2012 4:14:25 PM I didn't have ATL but I think you are right with that because nym sucked at home last year and ATL had 42 wins on the road. Had PHI and TEX. Totally agree about TEX, BOOKIE. I think the cws are going to have an extremely difficult year. I also have LAA. I had CIN but lost momentum when Madson, the Closer went out for the year. So my picks, so far for this coming weekend are:
PHI - not as strong as a play because of injuries on offensive side. pit can hit too. I may not play this series. But Pit can't pitch. TEX - I could see TEX sweep cws LAA - One of best pitching staffs in MLB and Better Offense than given credit for. kc may be improved but LAA knows TEX has a harder schedule in first 2 months so LAA NEED to start fast. Don't be surprised if LAA up a few games in standings first 2 months. Schedule evens out after July though. LAA my pick to win WS. ATL - They will probably win the division if PHI cannot rebound from their offensive woes/injuries
Anyone else got picks/leans or whatever they are called? Anyone like CIN? |

#64 Posted: 4/1/2012 5:26:00 PM I like the four you got so far B2W. If I were to add any more it would be the Blue Jays to win over the Indians. I've heard a few comentators that like the Blue Jays this year. |

#65 Posted: 4/1/2012 7:23:02 PM Yea, TOR, poor Tor. In the AL BEAST. You put those guys in the central and I think they compete much better. I could see Tor taking a game or 2 from clv this weekend. And the reson is because the al central, and nl central for that matter, arent really great...except for DET. |

#67 Posted: 4/1/2012 10:22:37 PM Phillies, Angels, Rangers for sure. I'll pass on the Braves, though. I'll stick with the 3 I'm the most confident with. I'm not seeing much on Monday either. Rangers at home against my M's (they miss King Felix) and NYY at Baltimore. We'll have to see how the opening weekend goes first. Let's get this going! |

Atlanta wont see 86 wins this season, tougher division than Detroit and Vegas figures Detroit grabs 90+ wins. I dont think Freddy Gonzalez can manage a High School Team. Braves collapsed second half of last season. Chipper out first two weeks, injuries in his last year. Nothing looks good for the Braves. |
