To answer your questions, I would consider it, but their price is higher than it used to be and I'm still not gambling as much at the moment.

As far as a better way, not sure I understand you. Do you mean better systems or better service or?

I would suggest that even if you decide to use their service, you should still make sure that you agree with the plays that you get. Yes, they're a good service and make good plays. You should also agree with their calls. If you feel opposite of the play they suggest, go with your own gut. If you're neutral on it, go with them.

Maria

Blackbelt and or Todays Action are both going to take a bit of time to build up your bankroll.

Rule of Thumb is go thru an entire season wither its a selected sports or a combo of all sports.

Playing long-term is requires patience and proper money mangement skills.

Both companies are more long term then short term bang. Once again if you are going to play, then play correctly most dont know how to do that.

Hope this helps.

I agree with bigkeith. If you are trying to hit the 100 Dime Game of the Decade, then Blackbelt wouldn't be a service that you want to use.

If you're looking to make a few units each month and are patient, then they are good for that.

Thanks for all of the info. I'm definitely going to give them a try once I have a sufficient bankroll and then make large enough bets.

Saints, I meant did you find a better way and that's why you aren't using them right now. Since you said you weren't gambling as much, it makes more sense.

I'm not playing large enough to warrant paying for picks, even if they win. I can do it myself for now.

It looks like they're on a nice run in their MLB plays.

Ok, I took the plunge and bought a month on Friday. I figured it was a good day to start going into the wknd.

Thanks again to all of you for your input. I really appreciate it. It has started out well for me. On my first day went 2-0. saturday was 3-1. sunday was 2-1. monday was 0-1.

So far so good, keeping my fingers crossed though. I will try to update this thread from time to time so it can help anybody else that may read or just want to know.

hey saints, the MLB run looks nice even though I've only been on a couple of the games. they sent us St. Louis yesterday and it won on the moneyline as the larger bet and lost on the runline smaller bet.

hey shane. thanks. I will check out the friend request.

Guys, since this is just as important as the pick selection, what's the best money mgmt approach to use for maximum growth on my BR?

Any advice is appreciated!!

Thanks!

So your paying how much a month and they don't even give you a money management strategy?  I wouldn't worry about it, apparently they have never gotten one wrong.  Lol

Hey Maria,

Kelly betting will maximize your BR but it is very risky. I wouldn't suggest it if your aren't familiar with it.

It is probably best that you flat bet for the long haul and you'll be fine.

A 10-0 run is more than nice Maria, it's unreal.  I wish I had been on it. That Rangers game last night though was more luck than skill. I had the Cards and it is on my bad beat list.

One thing, of many, you should always do BEFORE you join a service is to have a lengthy discussion on money management to make certain everyone is on the same page.

Far as your question goes, here is guide that has worked well for us over the decades.  Each punter has two options for the value of their unit (constant or variable).  For the constant gambler, go the entire season/sport with one amount as it will allow you to track your funds easier.  For those who like to make adjustements per wager, get ahead two and a half times your starting bankroll and then increase your unit's value by no more than 10%.

Hard to accept you joined them without knowing the game plan but wish you success.

I'd like to chime in on the 100 Dime Game of the Decade subject.  In simplest terms, all those games are in most cases is just a way to try and bail them out & marketing fluff.  One must be able to get past the "100" or "500" amount/widget and see the body of their work.  Hype is one thing.  Results are what counts.

Thanks for the info. FYI, they went over their MM with me in detail when I joined. It's early for me, but it has worked very well b/c it's based on a percentage of my BR.

I hope I didn't make you guys think there was no MM plan. That would be incorrect. I was just asking for other people's thoughts to see what they do. It's good to gather various opinions.

Thanks Saints. I'm not familiar with Kelly. Haven't even heard of it until seeing your msg.

I did a google search on it and saw some people bad mouthing it saying it depleted their BR.

I imagine it would work as long as I'm playing winners though? As will any MM strategy correct?

To appropriately wager using Kelly, you need to be able to calculate the edge you have on your wagers. If you were to calculate a 2% advantage, then you would wager as so.

It's designed to double your BR as quickly as possible. Again, if you don't know it, don't attempt it.

Also maria, you can't just use any MM and expect to be successful. The reason is because wins usually come in streaks and so do losses. If you have a negative progression MM approach, then a string of losses will deplete your roll.

It seems like many people fall for that marketing stuff. I see people lose those big plays quite a bit

You guys are awesome!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your opinions.

That's good to know Saints. I've been flat betting the plays and doing pretty well so far. If its not broke, I won't fix it.

After looking at some other stuff on this site, I guess I'm now nervous about getting a payout. Does anyone have any advice on that?

I've seen some horror stories. I play at 5Dimes and hope I can get paid quickly.

I play a conservative $200 per game and am up over $2500 since joining last month. So far it has been very good and I just hope it continues.
