#1533 Posted: 9/30/2011 6:10:48 PM Don't use the RPI for playoff games. As pointed out this system only works in regular season.
Take the July 23 - PHILADELPHIA vs SAN DIEGO PHILLY juice was -137. I don't have the RPI rating for that date, but what you do is take the larger RPI and subtract lower RPI. In this case the difference favored Philly by 55 which is where we get the 55.
July 23 - PHILADELPHIA -137 (H55 A GAME) WIN -137 = juice H = Home Game 55 = RPI Difference
Anything above 35 on home games is an A game. If that team loses, then you double up on the next game, if they lose again you triple up. Only one series failed this year. No failures after the All-Star Break.
RPI VALUE VISITOR = 40 - 42 RPI (depending on strength) HOME = 35 RP
July 1 - July 2 - July 3 - July 4 - PITTSBURGH - 132 (41) WIN July 5 - WASHINGTON -124 - (36) WIN July 6 - PITTSBURGH -115 - (??) WIN July 7 - BOSTON -154 - (H41 "A" Game) WIN July 8 - BOSTON -198 - (H41 "B" Game) WIN July 9 - ALL STAR BREAK July 12 - PITTSBURGH +100 (44) WIN July 18 - BOSTON -134 (V52) WIN July 18 - PHILADELPHIA -185 (V66) LOSS July 18 - SAN FRANCISCO -127 (H32) WIN July 18 - WASHINGTON -113 UNOFFICIAL WIN July 19 - PHILADELPHIA -155 (V69 B GAME) WIN July 22 - BOSTON -136 (H50 A GAME) WIN July 22 - YANKEES -172 (H43 A GAME) WIN July 22 - PHILADELPHIA -185 (H55 A GAME) WIN July 22 - TAMPA BAY -102 (V42 A GAME) LOSS July 23 - PHILADELPHIA -137 (H55 A GAME) WIN July 23 - SAN FRANCISCO -134 ("B" GAME) UNOFFICIAL WIN July 23 - TAMPA BAY -118 ("B" GAME) LOSS July 24 - TAMPA BAY -102 ("C" GAME) WIN July 25 - YANKEES -190 (H56 "A" GAME) WIN July 25 - BOSTON -270 (H61 "A" GAME) LOSS July 25 - ST. LOUIS -230 (V46 "A" GAME) WIN July 26 - BOSTON -175 (H61 "B" GAME) WIN July 29 - YANKEES -190 (H47 "A" GAME) LOSS July 29 - PHILADELPHIA -270 (H41 "A" GAME) WIN July 29 - MILWAUKEE -176 (H54 "A" GAME) WIN July 29 - BOSTON +100 (V42 "A" GAME) LOSS July 30 - YANKEES -220 (H54 "B" GAME) WIN July 30 - BOSTON -150 (V42 "B" GAME) WIN

Holding my own right now. I can't believe how much time it takes to review all the games. I literally start reviewing on Monday Night. That's when I find out about key injuries. The tough part is colleges are not required to list injuries, so you have to dig locally to find them.

#1542 Posted: 10/5/2011 10:12:48 PM LOL! SOB! this is why i dont bet the playoffs! Ive lost 3 straight and AZ hits a homer/grand freakin slam in the 1st. This is exactly why I had to create the MLB RPI system...for retards like me. I dont like even matchups. |

#1544 Posted: 10/18/2011 9:49:14 PM If a team's rpi changes after the first game of a series where it goes lower than the criteria set, do you still play games 2 or 3 if the first or second game does not come through?
Thanks.
Good Luck.

Yep.
I'm going to do a giant 3 game chase when the Rangers play at home (games 3 through 5) |

#1546 Posted: 12/19/2011 2:08:03 PM I know there is still 4 months until the baseball season, but it hasn't stopped me from looking at ways we can improve the dollar amount. Regardless of what you think about this system you can't deny that it is profitable.
I found something startling when I started placing a dollar amount to each bet made. These numbers are based on a 1000.00 per game bet. If anyone is interested in seeing the spreadsheet, please send me a PM with your email address.
ALL BETS = $32,109.71 HOME TEAM BETS = $10,166.65 VISITOR TEAM BETS = $21,258.46
WHO's READY FOR BASEBALL?
