#1 Posted: 4/22/2011 1:21:40 PM WASNT me was good friend of mines lives out east
HE was playing online at the same site as he plays today !
It was a $1000 cash tourney he won a seat for by qulifying in 9 seat sit n go !
WAS up early $980 gets dealt pocket aces raises 980$ ; two callers
FLOP 10 A K all in for remaining money $1500 both players called hands opened Q Q J 10
turn card another K dead nuts FULL house cannot lose both hands are drawing dead
RIVER card a J of spades
SO he waits for Chips to come his way
NOPE HE lost to the Q Q the J of spades hit that guy a gut shot Royal Flush !
BY his count the odds were like hitting the lottery there were only 3 jacks left in the deck and Exactly
27 cards left in the deck counting the 18 dealt out to 9 players the board and two burn cards ! OR do they burn a card in online software games ?
it's all flash players used !
Thats why i dislike holdem because of this garbage happening even in real time !
I played holdem tourney small buy in $60 + $5 midnight madness in a casino
so i'm doing pretty good with 100 plaerys starting the hand before the break i'm dealt ace 6 of diamonds the blinds were high at $400 and $800 i call the BB
FLOP 66Q i raise 10 K other guy at other end comes all in for 11 K so i acll the extra 1 thou
shows down J Q off suit
well need i say i just took my first bad beat turn card J river card J
i was no longer a lady for a minute !
LOL ! so i wound uo getting knocked out 1 hr after we came back from the break and just chalked it up to only losing $65
COMON people post YOUR worst bad beat ever any poker game 7 stud holdem Omaha HIGH only ! |

#2 Posted: 4/22/2011 10:47:35 PM Winning the lottery? With that board through the turn the odds are 1/42 that the J of spades falls since you know what 10 of the cards are.....
I want to play in that lottery |

#4 Posted: 4/23/2011 9:57:19 AM I lost a similar hand at FullTilt a few years back.
Was dealt AA the very first hand of a $200 buy-in Tourney. Flop came A-6-6. Called an all-in and lost to pocket sixes (he flopped four of a kind).

#5 Posted: 4/23/2011 11:54:19 AM ok not exactly the lottery but surely long odds and truly the worst bad beat river i ever heard about !
GOLDEN GOOSE ok that was on flop YOU were beaten by quads that was a coin flip hand basically any single pair can be beaten at any time !
JUST was YOU got unlucky to have Pocket Rockets and THE other GUY called with 66 and bang he popped the nuts on the flop !
Truly i detest Holdem !
i prefer 7 card stud real time at laest in that real poker game i can read the people's hands and know if i'm beaten before the river card comes or i have the best hand !
HOLDEM is nothing more than a board game YOUR two cards in hand mean zilch ! YOU can play nothing but premimum starting hands every hand YOUR hand and still lose !
I seen online one player at the same table lose with AA KK 10 10 etc... 10 st hands to the worst hands ever in a big MTT $1000 prize pool
HE was screaming in the chat box literraly crying cursing !
This was last week on the 17th 9 pm PST
THE hands that Beat his monsters were Q 7 off suit J 9 off suit 7 -10 off suit etc... AA got cracked 3 times on the flop
77 hits FH 7 88 flop turn card J river 2 etc...
I said wow this holdem online is really bad even realtime i watched amazing garbage happen couple of times fights broke out !

#10 Posted: 4/30/2011 11:52:23 AM well, that was a waste of 10 minutes of reading ...
and why the fck does everybody always post bad beats with pocket AAs ... it's like you need to be a genius to know how to play those cards and you say you got a bad beat ... |

#13 Posted: 5/8/2011 4:57:45 PM Both all in, AK against A7 (AK had A7 covered in money). Flop comes AK9. AK is over 99% to win, something like 240 to 1. Turn comes 7 and river comes 7. A7 wins it.
This actually happened at a WPT event about 5 years ago and I was there watching in the audience. The guy who had A7 ended up winning the thing. He should have been eliminated that hand.

#17 Posted: 5/15/2011 11:52:10 PM The worst beat I ever took was when I was 15. (got into an indian casino with a fake ID)
Long story short, I had kk.
flop comes K-4-4. bunch of betting and the dude ends up going all in with 66. Needless to say the turn and river were both 6's.
I know this happens all the time, but losing a $1200 pot when your 15 because of this beat was just down-right sickening at the time. |

#24 Posted: 7/6/2011 4:32:05 PM Cliff Notes version of the most non traditional bad beat I have ever taken.
Live Game in Scottsdale, Arizona
Very aggressive player that had a huge stack and was bluffing alot all day. I get caught heads up with him after the flop. I don't remember my hand and it doesn't really matter for this story. I put the guy on air and figured he would fire bullets all the way to the end. I'm check/calling until the river hoping to check raise with virtually whatever I had (I believe I had two pair).
Here's where it gets interesting -
After the turn, I check and before the guy acted the dealer burned and turned. Well the guy didn't say anything like "hey I didn't act yet, I wanna bet". He basically let it slide, in my mind because he's got air and trying to cut it loose and move on. Well the floorman was standing behind the dealer getting ready to give her a new setup or drop time or whatever and he steps in and says "wait, this guy has not acted yet". He looks at the guy and says, do you wanna bet or check. The guy says, "I will check" but the floor still makes the dealer shuffle the river back in and turn a new card.
New river card is a deuce, which didn't scare me at all. I checked, he made a big bet and decided to just smooth call and be done with it.
Other player had pocket deuces, fuckin floorman interrupts the game for no reason. Nobody complained or asked him, he just stuck his nose in the game and it cost me a huge pot. |
