#52 Posted: 12/3/2010 2:57:57 AM I don't think England will need to bat again, personally.
The pitch is getting better and will be like the Gabba where it's good on day 2 and 3. 245. All England need to do is put up 500 in the next two days and the pitch may turn to garbage on day 4 and 5.
I'm very close to taking those two bets too. Still thinking about it. I've been thinking about it for the last 2 hours. |

#53 Posted: 12/3/2010 3:00:26 AM England got bowled out for a similar total in the 1st innings at the GABBA and we all know how that game ended.
Granted Australia will need to bat very well in the second innings, but for mine this game is still looking very much like a draw.
Australia need to fight tooth and nail to head to Perth 0-0 |

#54 Posted: 12/3/2010 3:07:44 AM Yeah but the difference is England's bowlers look more potent and the batsmen look very much in control.
Draw should be paying well though. It got to as high as 8.50 at the Gabba. If it gets as high as 7, I will jump on it. |

#57 Posted: 12/3/2010 10:14:33 PM Bad luck, Rod. Not over yet though but I took the other side. Stuart Clark is in good form. Should be in the Ashes squad.
I got burnt by Tassie against South Australia and this was more of a fade play than anything against them.
Victoria @ $1.67 was a steal though against a shithouse South Australian side. |

#58 Posted: 12/4/2010 1:43:07 AM Hodge getting a broken finger really fucked my Victoria play up.
Tossers had SA on the ropes four down but can't get a wicket. 4/66 I think they started the last innings at chasing 198. They will do it with ease! |

#60 Posted: 12/4/2010 5:58:54 AM Swann will be the danger man in the 4th and 5th days. Don't think England will need to bat again this match. |

#61 Posted: 12/4/2010 6:40:37 AM Yeah. Swann is playing about 3 bucks or something for most English wickets in their second innings. Very tempting.
I've got Bollinger and Harris for Australia. Only Harris looks like taking multiple wickets. Hoping Harris
Unless Australia field this lineup, they won't be winning anything:
Hughes Watson Ponting Hussey White Haddin Smith Hauritz Harris Clark Hilfenhaus
They won't be winning anything.

#62 Posted: 12/4/2010 7:03:45 AM Actually no;
Hughes Watson Ponting Hussey White Haddin Smith O'Keefe Harris Clark Hilfenhaus
That is a better and stronger lineup. White, Smith and O'Keefe will score 300 runs between them each test. O'Keefe as an allrounder (spinner) has an average of 25 at state level, better than Hauritz, Doherty etc. |

Only rain will save this pathetic Australian team now
Will assess at the end of the day, weather forecast looks bleak for Tuesday. Might buy back some of the England bet depending on the situation st stumps

#70 Posted: 12/8/2010 12:25:51 AM Another interesting series bet I found in sportsbet
Ground to produce the most runs (Brisbane) @ 1.90 (5)
I think this series will tighten up significantly in terms of run rate and the 3 remaining picthes will offer more for the bowlers than both Adelaide and especially Brisbane which was basically a road in the last 3 days of the test match.
