Congratulations to all who called Brady over Luck!

Me?  They dragged me through a washing machine 59 times, and hung me out to dry on top of the goal post!

Only 2 days before Thanksgiving and not a lot of post here... and for good reason.

With the line set at NE-6.5 pts this is a tough one to call with all that has been going on lately.

BUT in my opinion... The only reason to side with the J-E-T-S here is if you are a Jets fan OR a Patriots Hater.

It's hard to go against a Pats team that can put a 50 burger on a team if they blink at the wrong time. This season has been one of the best jobs done by Belichick and Brady. They have a defense that has scared no one and injuries galore on offense as well... yet they continue to win and score in bunches.

Yes, the Jets will put up a fight but I don't think that the Pats will be fooled twice in one season by these Jets.

I like the Over 48 as well.

Jets make is seem close with a late TD which gets the Over cashed as well.

NE-31 NYJ-23

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL the people of the world

I also thought that the Colts game would be closer... which it would have been if not for the giveaways by the Colts... Oh Well.

Last week the Jets made me look foolish for picking the Rams. I thought this team had packed it in, but they proved me wrong by heading out west for the second time in two weeks and coming back home with the W. I was more than surprised by their effort, and I was also surprised they didn't look ahead to this upcoming game against the Pats. Who would've thought the Jets would win on the road that convincingly after turning the ball over on a fake punt and having a field goal blocked as well. Believe it or not, that's actually a sign of mental toughness. I hate to give the Jets credit for anything, but last week showed me that this team has what it takes to overcome adversity on the field and in the locker room. Granted it was against the Rams, but I think their positive momentum from the road win plays favorably into this division rival matchup this week.

Last time these teams played, it was a classic Jets-Pats game. On the Jets opening possession, they took the ball and went on a methodical 5 minute, 11-play, 76-yard scoring drive to take a 7-0 lead.  Just as they silenced the crowd at Gillette Stadium, they allowed Devin McCourty to return the ensuing kickoff for a 104-yard touchdown. That was very uncharacteristic of a Mike Westoff unit that has consistently ranked in the top 5 in avg yards allowed per return, and had not allowed a kick return for a TD since 2009. Well, needless to say, the Jets squandered their momentum and found themselves down by 10 in the 4th quarter. They eventually played some solid football and came back to tie the game with about 2 minutes left to play. Then the Pats practically handed the Jets this game with a costly fumble on a kickoff return with about 2 minutes left in the game. The Jets, not surprisingly, were not aggressive enough in the final minutes and they opted to play for the field goal instead of going for the throat like Coach Belichick would do. It didn't help that Sanchez took a costly sack that nearly brought them out of field goal range, and that the Pats had all 3 of their timeouts. The Jets ended up only taking 20 seconds off the clock and kicked a field goal, leaving Brady a minute and forty seconds to drive down the field and kick the game tying field goal. The Jets ended up losing a close one in overtime.

It's really important to note that in that game, Gronkowski led the team in targets and receptions (6 catches on 9 targets), and ended up catching 2 touchdowns.  That type of production is hard to replace.  Not to mention, he is one of the best redzone targets the NFL has seen in quite some time, and he garners so much attention that he opens up everything for other players as well. He is also a heck of a blocker, something you won't be able to replace with Aaron Hernandez. If you strip away the production from the Gronk and the kick return for a TD, you can take 21 points off the board for the Pats previous win over the Jets.

I think the left-for-dead Jets will be much looser and confident this time around, and play another competitive game. Given the circumstances, getting 7 points at home sounds like a decent value. Keep in mind: no Gronk, and almost equally as important, they could likely be without the services of starting guards, Logan Mankins & Dan Connolly who went down in week 10. Yeah, yeah...we all know New England put up a 50 spot on the Colts, but the Jets beat down the Colts too. They will not be impressed.  I think the Jets are all too familiar with this Patriot offense to get blown out at home.  Not to mention, they would like to redeem themselves for their last showing at MetLife when they got embarrassed by the Miami Dolphins.

For the record, I despise the Jets and it hurts me to make this pick. But I am going with the Dirty Sanchez and the J-E-T-S.

be4 last week the jets completely got owned in 2 straight games and they were completely awful in all aspects of the game.....anybody who has confidence in mark sanchez and the jets is absolutely crazy.....sanchez looks like a rookie qb out there, u would never guess that hes been in the league for a few years.....the only reason why i would stay away from this game is because 75% of the public is on the pats and the bookies gotta make their money somehow so im kinda skeptic....but if i gotta take any1 i would lay the points with the pats....u think with all this talk of belichek leaving gronk in the game isnt getting him pissed? hes gonna come back this week and give a big FU to everyone whos talkin crap on him

New England has hit their stride. Taking New England before it gets to 7.

Belichek will be ready for the jets this time. Nuff said. And the players are plug and play. Gronkowski will not be missed.

I respect your style mellowman, but I am going to strongly disagree with you on the "Gronkowski will not be missed" comment. In the last two matchups versus the Jets, the Gronkanator has absolutely killed the Jets, leading the team in targets, receptions, and touchdowns. Below are his numbers in the previous two meetings vs the Jets:

20 Targets, 14 Receptions, 191 Yards, and 4 Touchdowns

Did you know that out Ron Gronkowski has accounted for 45% of Tom Brady's touchdowns going back to week 1 of last year.  Thats 27 out of Brady's last 60 TDs.  Gronk has also accounted for nearly half of Brady's TDs this year (10 of 21).

So I am sure Tom Brady will disagree with your statement as well.  You take away a quarterback's favorite weapon, you take away two starting guards (Mankins and Connolly), and you have a recipe for a competitive game against the Jets.

I am not a huge believer in this Jet team either, but they did play the Pats very tough at Gillete Stadium exactly 1 month ago today. Yeah, they looked horrible at Seattle, but don't forget the Pats lost at Seattle earlier in the year too.  Its a tough place to play!  And I think the team was emotionally hung over from the near win at Gillette Stadium when they got their fools kicked at home by Miami prior to their bye week.  I like the Jets coming in with good momentum, and the Pats missing their favorite redzone weapon with only 3 days to conjure up a scheme on how to replace Gronkowski's production.

Thats just my take.  Good luck

I would expect the jets to be overvalued and pats undervalued due to injuries but I got to tell you..late in the season is where the pats thrive.  Although usually after a big blowout, teams fall flat...hmmmm.

When you have a rivalry like this with a pretty much 50-50 record take the touchdown! J-E-T-S +7  pains me to say that....

I think too many people are putting too much weight in the Jets beating a 3-6-1 team. I thought the Jets+3.5 & the Saints -5.5 were the 2 easiest picks last week. Pats should roll in this one & I'm thinking this game will complete a road ATS sweep on Turkey Day. Texans -3, Redskins +3.5, & Pats -6.5
