Oh, yes weather may be a big factor in this game like it did last night in Chicago. If it looks ugly then I'm gonna forego picking the Steelers and pound the Under.  We shall see a little before game time and make a decision then for sure!

Love the comments. Of course I'm going to come on here and see all the Pitt hype. How easy is it to come up with a little bs analysis on how bad KC is and how good Pitt is? Doesn't mean garbage. Tomlin keeps this game close out of respect for a fellow African American coach and the Chiefs lose by 3, but give a respectable performance.

I live in Pittsburgh and the weather is fine, if anybody is intrested,

as far as steelers not playing up too there potenial against garbage teams , whoever said that they are right.

But, in that said Todd haley our Off corid  nator  wants too pound the score up on kc for firing him flat out, im hoping.  Im teasing the steelers with anything here , they should win by 10 ,

Who else got fck by the 3team 10 point teaser Ne , Sf, Pitt.  Can believe sf tied the gm and i got it in the behind , bullshit thanks akers for missing a chip shot, hope he gets hit by a bus on the way home from the game.

2. 14-0: The Steelers are tough to beat at home on Monday Night Football. Overall, they are 23-5 in MNF games at Three Rivers Stadium and Heinz Field. In their last 14 appearances, they have won all 14. The last time the Steelers lost a Monday night game at home was on Oct. 14, 1991, a 23-20 decision to the Giants. The Steelers finished 7-9 in ‘91, which was Chuck Noll’s last year as coach.

3. Steelers are 3-0 this year at home. In their three home wins, the Steelers have allowed only 12.0 points per game.

Steelers are going balls to the walls all out on the KC Chiefs tonight.  Just like how I called Denver's John Fox is gonna smash the garbage out of his previous team Carolina, same is gonna happen here with Todd Haley.  EXPECT Pittsburgh to go full throttle against KC.  They NEED a win to keep up with Baltimore to have any chances at the playoffs and they can't allow the lowly Chiefs to stand in their way.  They're gonna bowl over KC today.

Expect a score of 35-10 tonight with the easy cover.  Revenge is always an excellent motive to crush your previous team!

Playing large on Pittsburgh this week to end this week.  Out of all the DD point spreads this week, this one will cover on MNF.

I couldn't disagree more. They're 23-5 on MNF... ok? What's their ATS on MNF is what i'm more concerned about. ATS ON MNF @ home and away. Compare that as well

The 3-0 home wins that kept the 12ppg average was WASHING, PHILLY, and JETS.

One is a developing offense with a rookie QB. Philly... they're a mess and jets we already know.

On top of that, out of like the last 8 games pitt has only scored over 30 ONCE with oakland.

I say pitt takes it easy and saves on injuries and plays for a much more deserved ravens next week.

KC escapes without getting beat too bad 24-16.

Does anyone else see this as a trap game for Pittsburgh? Obviously Pitt is the better team and shoukd win this game but with that big comeback win last week and the Ravens coming to town next week I see Pitt playing down to the chiefs level tonight and winning by a touchdown or so..

I also like the under, the weather won't help and KC will pray that they can get something going on the ground. KC can defend the pass somewhat so it won't be a big day for Big Ben. Ground and pound...

I think you hit the nail on the head or as my uncle would say, “the head on the nail.”  Haley has to be a little “shxty” with the way he was broomed out of Kansas City so I can see him being much more aggressive with his play calling (unlike those conservative play selections last week which almost let the Giants back in the game when they had several opportunities for knockout punch).

We all know Romeo Cornell loves to run the ball which is a tough chore against the Steelers front seven and if he does flip the script and decide to put the ball in the air to the one (1) playmaking receiver on his entire roster, then Matt “Turnover Machine” Cassel will most likely allow the home team’s defense to cover the spread without BIG Ben’s assistance.  With that said, there are two things that worry me about this deal:

#1  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a HUGE mobbed up town and whenever 80% or better of all the money is riding on a side, anything can happen.

#2  Would Coach Tomlin be respectful of the head coach (“brother”) on the other sideline and throttle back a bit?

At any rate, I just can’t help myself in this spot so…………………..  put me down for Pittsburgh minus anything up to 13.5 for a Nickel Alex Trebek please.  Thanks!

I will take Franco, Swann, Stallworth, and Lambert's old team for the easy cover. Steelers in a rout on National T.V.
Time for teams like Pitt to step forward in a big way, I think they do it large. KC has never led at any point all season.

It makes no sense why the spread is this small; it should be about 18.  Something is up.

Resting Monday Night.......GL!

PS - I am leaning towards PITTSBURGH next Sunday Night against Baltimore.

There ya go!! Let the big dawg eat!! I respect your picks and your honesty in posting your record. A lot of clowns brag about sweeping the board every week, but true handicapping is a grind.  Keep the picks coming....60% is solid in my opinion.

I agree with most that the Steelers are probably the play here, as I don't see how this Matt Cassel led offense will be able to put up any points on Pittsburgh's defense.

But I worry about the Steelers looking ahead to Baltimore next week. I bet you Baltimore's beating of Oakland has certainly caught the attention of Steeler Nation (considering Pittsburgh lost to them earlier in the year). Normally I would look to fade a heavily bet public team laying that many points in a Monday Night setting.

However, the Chiefs are starting to look like on of those teams like Jacksonville. They are like a lame horse that needs to be put down. Their coach Romeo Crennel actually made history by firing himself as defensive coordinator last week. If we learned anything from the Philadelphia Eagle situation with Andy Reid, changing coordinator's in the middle of a season is probably not a good idea.

I would also like to share an exerpt from Romeo Crennell's post game press conference after they got beat down by the Chargers:

"Similar to what’s been happening during the course of this year, we shoot ourselves in the foot and we’re in this hole and we got to fight our way out of it.   It wasn’t very good overall, but we’re going to keep coaching, keep playing and keep trying to fight our way out of it because that’s the only way you get out of it. If you don’t fight, if you don’t keep trying to get it right, then you’re going to have no chance. We’re going to keep working and try to get it right."

This sounds like the words of a desperate man.  And I guess when your record is 1-7, you tend to get pretty desperate. I love being a contrarian and trying to fade the public every once in a while, but there's a fine line between being a genius and a jackass.  I learned that on Thursday night by backing Jacksonville.  Don't wager your money on this lame-horse Chief team with a lame duck coach.

I support Schochuman's idea by not taking a side, but I must say the under sounds intriguing.  All 3 Pittsburgh home games have gone under this year and I don't see why this one would be any different.  They have that dominant run-heavy offensive line, which equals long drives, and lots of Big Ben conversions on third down.  They love keeping opposing offenses on the sidelines.

Thats the only intelligent play I could make with this game.

You got ot Bro ! This all Pitt tonight. Looking at -7.5 1st half. Hmmmmm It could easily be 14-3 or 21-6 in the first half. Just don't see KC scoring much at all.

Thanks, Sammy Ace.  I read your post all the time.......you always have valuable information to share with everyone.  You're right about the Chiefs.  I learned many years ago not to pick a BAD team to make the spread.  When in doubt.......stay away.  There's plenty of other games to choose from.  Again, I like PITTSBURGH next week against Baltimore.

GL to everyone and to all you VETs........THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Great write up.  I agree with the Under and you made me laugh with the fine line between a jackass and genius.. lol  I like fading on the public too especially when it looks to good to be true.. very tempting to take KC in this position..
