Lions need more time to find themselves.  Niners look mid season. . .

SF -6.5 (1u) - Detroit's already-average secondary is banged up, so Smith and his receivers could have another very easy matchup. As long as Suh is kept off of Smith, the Niners should romp. The added drama of handshake-gate i think favors the niners at home. SCORE: Lions 18-Forty-Niners 33.

This looks like the classic early season trap to me. SF rolls into GB and beats them handily, Detroit struggles at home against lowly St. Louis. Must mean the 9ers roll!!!

This is a FG game in the making, gimmie the points....

The Niners will cover the spread in this one. They are better offensively this year than they were on the road last year in Detroit and won 25-19. At home they will add at least one point to that margin and cover the -6.5. Love this pick for week 2.

Lions have enough offense to keep this within one score.  SF will probably win.

SF 23 - Det 20.

Det +7

49ers are healthier and more prepared for this game. The ranch is on them. Will decide for sure tomorrow. Good luck to all!!

This is an obvious let down spot for San Fran, love the 7 with an extra explosive Lions squad.

Hand shake gate is keeping me from taking Frisco the obvious choice here based on their stats, they really look damn good!. I'm thinking the Lions have been working on their revenge for months and looked past St louis and thats why the bad game with the Lambs. Hate is a very powerful motivator. So I will be refraining from betting this game. The Lions coach hates Harbaughs guts and is looking for payback.

I also predict a maiming by the Lions of one of the San Francisco players. A stomping or something brutal. All the stops will be pulled to soothe the Lions coaches thirst for revenge.

No way I am betting on this, I will stick with something more predictable.

San Fran looked awful good last week at Lambeau but i really hope they shove a football sideways up that yappy crybaby harbaughs behind.  Like i said last year loved him when he QB'd my Wolverines hate him as the whiny SF coach.  Lions will cover the 7.5.  GLA

This being the primetime Sunday night game makes a big difference to me.

This game will be close, and 7.5 is just too many to pass up

49ers win, but Lions cover - and then Harbaugh does that douchey move where he'll reach out to shake Schwartz's hand and yell "PSYCH!!" and then brush his hair behind his ear!!

Haha quad, you always make me laugh. :)

I dunno, I watched both teams openers and Frisco looks might good to me.  I regret not watching them in detail earlier when the line at 6.5 was good but at 7.5 not  good at all.  So still refraining although this on is going to be fun to watch.
