Both Championship games could have gotten either way.
Baltimore could have tied and SF lost the ball. We could have easily have the HARBOWL which might still happen in the future.

But no, they had to bring back a Re-match of one of the Greatest Upsets of All time. The Football Gods must be grinning, not to mention Goodell and co. as well. This will probably be the most watched SB in history. So strap on and get ready for a wild ride.

here we go folks, the big day is upon us. Just a few hours before kickoff and I'm excited as hell, should be a great game.

I just want to take a moment of yours and my time to thank and show my appreciation to Covers and all the great cappers here, special thanks to the colonel, quad, vue, spy, breaka, dddevin, we may not have always agreed but your postings have been very informative nevertheless. I'm not a big gambler by any means ,I tend to bet only on NFL. I started the season with a $200 roll and I'm ahead by almost $150. That may be peanuts to some of you but it makes me very happy.

Taking half my winnings and putting it on the Gmen, teased it up to +6 and just for the heck of it I'm putting small wager on Kelly Clarkson to go over on the anthem.

once again thanks to all and good luck on the big game.

Two things to point out before this superbowl...

1) How big do injuries play a factor in a game like this?  For example, when T.O. broke his ankle and played in the Superbowl.  Did that injury cost them a Superbowl win?

2) This is the 3rd time these two teams have played this year.  Preseason might not matter, but the guy NE cut was the 2nd leading receiver in that preseason game and Eli didn't even play.  Final score was 18 - 17 NY wins by a 1 pt.

I do believe some teams just have your number... And I think this game will play out just like when the Bills went to 4 straight superbowls and lost...

1st half...

NY - 17

NE - 13

2nd half final score...

NY - 31

NE - 28

good luck idle, I wish I can say I'm plus 150 at the end of the season.  Believe me, it's following posters like you idle that help the cappers make their .  I certainly make sure I read your posts. I turned out to be more of a fluff poster, no consistency. I'm actually disappointed in my performance. Your a meat and potatoes poster, their the type you like to follow.

My New Years resolution is to re-dedicate myself to the job of handicapping games, more research, more staying up crunching stats and less resting on past performances. And certainly no more posting while under the influence of alcohol.

Your post idle is a wake up call to the colonel THANKS my friend.

GL on todays wager

I think the hurry-up will be too much for the Giants D....

I also think that Gilbride will call too conservative of a game in the beginning and if the Gmen fall behind it could be disastrous....

Can't see Bill and Brady losing 2 superbowls to the same team....

plus the biggest mush I know is all over the Gmen...
GL TO ALL!

Also heard the tout of all touts, Brandon Lang is on the Giants +3 and i doubt Gronk is as limpy as Billicek would like us to think..i'm just sayin...

The patriots have the worst defense, statistically, of any superbowl representative.  The giants overall defensive #s aren't that great, but they've had significant injuries.  They defeated the pats on the road, now they are a 'dog on a neutral field?  Something doesn't add up!!!  I haven't really seen any patriot posts on here that provide ample reasoning for a new england victory.  The giants are now healthy, have been winning on the road...should be able to get pressure on brady, and should be able to put up 30+ points this sunday.  I'm taking the Gmen ML and the over (down to 54, will most likely go back up since the public loves betting the over).  Additionally, gronkowski will not be at full strength...could even aggravate the injury during the game forcing him to the bench...the only thing that worries me is that it seems like "everyone" is on the Giants in this.  However, as my buddy says, sometimes "it's just that obvious."  Can someone give me a reason to bet the patriots other than "it's tom brady and the hoodie is coaching."  ????????  Thanks!

Please tell me what casino here in Vegas allows you to bet the ML with the over/under on one parlay ticket. I don't know of any, so how are you going to take the G-Men ML and the over? Are you going to make to separate bets or something?

    BLUE POINTS
Here's a telling consistent sign via Blue's recent matches that appears to have gone under  radar.
° Giants lost to Frisco 20 - 27  ... Re-match beat SF 20 - 17 in playoffs
° Giants  lost to GB 35 - 38 ... Re-match beat GB 37 - 20 in  playoffs
° Giants beat Dallas 37 - 34 early season ...Re-match beat Dallas 31 - 14 in playoff type game , clinching division.
Looking at these past 6 matches , Giants avg. pts scored remains consistent . However , Defensive re-match side , Blue shows consistent dramatic improvement , cutting down opponents score avg. by 10 + pts. Impressive.
Blue owns NFL record 6 straight playoff road wins...Lucky 7 on deck ???
Giants have allowed 13 pts  Avg. during current 5 game win streak  while producing 20 sacks n' not allowing any QB to toss over 250 yrds.

    PATRIOT POINTS
While I did  mention how Super Bowl 46 adds up to 10 in numerology sense, it does in fact add up to 1. While # 10 Blue appears as a possible value side MVP bet , majority of signs n' more on complex factors favors Brady to pull it out via record numbers  on Lucas Oil field race track that should hit 55 total pts or more.
History reveals that it's not always the team with the best record or best stats that wins a super bowl .However Giants are in a historical tuff spot considering no team has ever won the super bowl having only 9 regular season victories. There is positively no doubt , having de-throned X champs on the road that Giants have earned top NFC spot, contrary to what some dim wits believe. It's never flash pretty with Blue but throughout their successes they DO get the job done when push comes to shove. However it appears Blue  are showing that Pre-bowl kiss of death cockiness that I believe amongst other reasons, will result in a close 3- 4 PT defeat.
Love to see Blue do it again but it's extremely difficult to expect threepeat when last two were decided by freak plays in closing ticks of hotly contested matches.
Pats are on a 10 game win streak averaging 36 pts per game .While Brady was sacked n' roughed up like a rag doll in past two Blue Battles ,it's not going to happen here . Pats will do everything to neutralize pass rush using quick huddle as much as possible which eventually WILL exhaust Blue's pass rush via 2 nd half as temperature naturally rises via intensity of packed championship dome game atmosphere . It always happens.
IMO Pats 2 nd half is THE best bet  as Giants defenders are likely to show fatigue vs. Bill B n' Brady pinball show that will Tilt the joint to 55 n' over. Giants weak special team coverage also figures to allow Brady to gain favorable field position advantage with Giant killer Wes Walker likely to return punts n' X Jet Woodhead who appears to have new success life returning kicks for Pats.
While there is hope that Killer Snatch theory dooms Brady as it did for Tiger Woods, Pete Sampras, Beckham n' Dontrel Willis ( derailed by Venus Williams Bush trap )
It appears Brady has Gisele by the leash n' will prevail.
IMO Pats n' Brady wants this more than Blue.
                       PATS  29   GIANTS 26

                                    Tear$ in me Beer

kinda think Pats / Brady are extremely hungry for a win here.. a pats win would solidify their Empire in history..

i expect a vicious brutal game with at least a couple of fights/brawls..  pats are desperate to crush this Gmen squad..

pats by 11..

35-24
