#176 Posted: 2/4/2012 4:30:14 PM Who is the horse here? I am going with what I consider reality.
If I am going to wager on this game...Give me the better Quarterback.
I'll take Brady. Eli scares me. He even looks soft.
Clip this statement out and place it on your fridge. Take Brady and the Pats! |

No- that is not my reason for taking New England. I was responding to several posters that stated that the Pats had not beaten any teams with a winning record. However my game analysis reveals New England is a better team than NY. Anyway- GL on your Giants wager(Tell me how it turned out for you after the game!) |

#178 Posted: 2/4/2012 5:04:58 PM I liked the over at 55 and now am gonna be all over the 53. You know Brady will get his points... and Eli, against the NE pass d? come on guys. This is gonna be a shootout. Perfect track, perfect conditions, two qb's over 6000 yds coming in... there will be around 40 points by Madonna time!
It is gonna be one hell of an offensive show. Cruz looks unstoppable, if Gronk is ok he is unstoppable, if not, Hernandez and Welker are no slouches..
Final score 37 - 34. Whoever has the ball last wins!!!
Good Luck All! too bad the NFL season has to come to an end.. Cant wait until September!

#179 Posted: 2/4/2012 5:32:09 PM I just listened to a bunch of 1:00 previews of the new Van Halen album that drops on 2/7/12 - - sounds pretty darn good - like classic D.L.R. led Van Halen. I guess it should considering they're like remixes of old demos.
Now, I can't think of any way they could have promoted this new album, can you guys? Nope, no national stage they could have played on 2 days prior to the album release or anything..........
Good God, Madonna? Really????
Anyways - - here's my prop bet list for your amusement..........
Kelly Clarkson milks this thing - over 1:34
She was born in Texas, so she doesn't care about either team - "wears anything else" is the play
She won't forget any of the words either
Coin Flip - tails and Giants win it - - why not???
Peyton Manning - over 5.5 time shown - - I'd say 5.5 before halftime
total fumbles lost under 2.5 - because The Law Firm has never fumbled - EVER!!!!!
Gatorade color - blue, because it pays the most (+900)
Anyways - Good Luck Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

#180 Posted: 2/4/2012 8:44:15 PM History is repeating itself this year from 2008!
2008
Patriots AF = 37 AA = 17 O/U = 11-5
Giants AF = 23 AA = 22 O/U = 8-8
2011
Patriots AF = 32 AA = 20 O/U = 11-5
Giants AF = 25 AA = 23 O/U = 8-7-1
Look at how similar these two seasons have played out.... Another interesting fact that another member brought up is the fact that the only other 2 rematches between QB's in previous superbowls resulted in the same QB winning the rematch.
Everything points to history repeating itself this superbowl...
With the Patriots less potent offence from 2008 and defense and the Giants actually improving since 2008 it is very clear. It's tough to bet against the Hood and Brady, but this game will not be a shocker like it was last time. It's already played out before so don't be fooled.
Final Prediction:
24-21 Giants
Every Q under
Under on all Gronk props
Under on National Anthem
Under 46.5 @ +280

#183 Posted: 2/5/2012 1:28:15 AM haven't posted in a while, but I will for the Superbowl..
if the Patriots can stop the Giants pass rush, and that's a big if, Brady will carve up that Giants LB core and secondary.. once the Patriots stop the run game of the Giants, like they did against the Ravens, do you really trust Eli Manning when he has to throw 30-40 times??
Patriots -3 for me, will most likely wait till closer to game time to see if i can get it at -2.5

A) Anybody who thought LSU was going to beat Bama is an idiot B) Don't watch ESPN, it's bad for capping and geared for kids under 25, it makes you dumb.
Patriots are lucky to be this far because Pittsburgh was banged-up and Ravens need a kicker. Giants are a better team. Eli is a problem but good enough to pull this off. NYG plus the points. Hope everyone had a winning year also. GLA

#185 Posted: 2/5/2012 2:32:01 AM I think TheQuad is right on with his Over 5.5 play on number of times they show Peyton. And I agree that will hit by halftime. Whoever chose Madonna over Van Halen is also an idiot and should be fired. Madonna sucked when she was hot let alone now.

#189 Posted: 2/5/2012 7:07:04 AM While most regular season stat traps appear seductively appealing to the gambling mind, it is often outside the numbers that one will find the telling sign$.Down to Devil'$ advocate , down to the color of one's socks !!! lolThis is after all the last game n' human elements, psychological factors n' more should be considered the biggest degree. What is the most telling sign in this game ? Without Brady Patriots would have very little chance of winning this game. On the flip side without Eli , Giants D n' running game would stuff Pats down. No doubt about it,pressure is on Brady. While Lovely Gisele talks about it openly, timing may not work in Brady's favor following sub par game vs. Ravens, personal worst QB rating sans TD in God knows time. Giants mission is clear, quick sack or two, pressure attack n' Brady will be open for the kill.Appears clear Pats strategy will be no huddle offense via quick outs n' trick play or two...Wes Walker throwing for a TD ? Brady QB draw for 15 yards? Anything goes ,Now or never Bill B... Brady will run, he wants it more than anyone else and that's what makes the Patriots so dangerous in this game. His level of intense competition stands second only to Peyton manning. This is one of the few years betting superbowls via 8- 2 track record that I really feel uneasy picking sides. Going back to the 80's between these two ,games have been decided around 4 pt range. Should remain the same ,considering how last 2 crucial matches were decided com closing tics via Miracle Tyree's helmet catch n' Ballard's 15 tic grab. Statistically, Giants should be favored and should win this one however I sense a dogfight with either team winning by 4 and there lies imo best value play ,betting Giants to win between 1 - 6 pts @ 4/ 1 n' Pats to win between 1- 6 @ 7/2. As last year, hope little voice is as accurate nailing pretty much exact score n' sides via numerology calculations.2012 Superbowl 46 = 10 via numerology sense ,hence 1 . First thing that came to mind....Eli # 10 bet as MVP n' Mario Manningham 82 ( 10 ) for side bet fun. ( Giants winning between 7 - 12 pts @ 6- 1 is mighty appealin' too) ...lol Damn !!!! Snowing hard in Paris gotta hit road pronto or risk missing game. God willing, hoping to add vital tidbits later before kickoff. Enjoy n' Bola !!!

What about the 2007 Super Bowl when these two teams last played? You need to go by the SEASON,. not the year in which the Bowl was played. This is NOT the 2012 Super Bowl - that will be played next January for the championship of the 2012 season. Understand now? Any stats you have since these two played against each other or do you just go back to 2008? GL.

#194 Posted: 2/5/2012 10:33:21 AM Living in Ct. is like living on the front lines as far as fan base.A lot of smack talking the past couple of weeks everywhere you go.I like the over here and think Nicks and Cruz will have a good day and Brady will throw for 3 tds. Running game is key in this one to try and keep the other offence off the field.I like the over here and rooting for Pat's to win.One thing I can predict is there won't be 76 people killed and 800 wounded at the stadium.GOD BLESS AMERICA! |

#195 Posted: 2/5/2012 11:21:30 AM This game is for the Giants to lose. As long as they can control the Turn Overs, they should be OK. Pats have not been tested this Post Season but once. Giants on the other hand had to deal with Murderers row; ATL, GB and SF. Who here does not think any of those could be in the Super Bowl?
Anyway that's why they play the game.
Good Luck to all. |

#196 Posted: 2/5/2012 11:27:40 AM This is definitely a close game, no LOCKS OF THE MILLENNIUM!!! CASH IN MY 401K AND GO LARGE!!!! LOL
I only have this league-wide stat I found: The league is 2-33-1 ATS since 2002 when they are off a 1-3 point win in which they scored 20+ points, punted fewer than three times and converted fewer than 10 third downs.
That said Giants +2.5 for the small! |

#197 Posted: 2/5/2012 11:29:59 AM Gameday - Watching videos of the past two Pats - NY games shows the Pats just barely missed several big plays which may have changed the outcomes of those two games. I look for NY to emphasize the run to keep Brady and Co. off the field. Eli will mix a pass here and there for balance. Of course the Pats will scheme and play deception defenses to counter.
I think the Pats will run no huddle when on offense to keep NY defense off balance to move the ball downfield quickly for scores. Quick scores to challenge NY to keep up which may aid NY in making mistakes. NY will off course try to pressure Brady with blitzes and coverage scheme.
It looks like NY "outmatches" the Pats especially in the run offense. But....the PATS may "outplay" the G-men with their schemes and don't forget about special team play. And also don't forget about that "Tom Terrific" quarterback. He is determined to win that fourth superbowl for his coach and himself joining where now only two QB's and single coach now sit. He can carry that team to victory. He is that good.
It is going to be a great, great game. Good luck to all. |

my book is offering the same odds.... only thing is it's 10.5, I'd jump on it at 9.5....
I'm taking the Pats laying the points as the favorite....
I think the hurry-up will be too much for the Giants D....
I also think that Gilbride will call too conservative of a game in the beginning and if the Gmen fall behind it could be disastrous....
Can't see Bill and Brady losing 2 superbowls to the same team....
plus the biggest mush I know is all over the Gmen...
