#30 Posted: 1/5/2012 6:15:53 PM Can't do it....NO is the hottest team in the No Fun League right now and Brees and his skill players are hitting on all cylinders especially at home. It's a lot of points to give up but Detroit was hoping to make it to the playoffs (congrats to them) but NO plans included SB or Bust....I'm taking the Saints -10.5 |

I think this could be the best play for this weekend. I already did 6.5pt tease on these two teams. Will do 10-pt tease but looking for a third team. |

However, with that being said let's go back to week # 13 where we find the Lions were defeated in New Orleans by the Saints by the tune of 31-17. Only a week before Mr. Suh was ejected for his Thanksgiving Day stomping of a helpless Packer on the turf. Unfortunately, he was out and serving the first game of a 2 game suspension. So naturally, he wasn't around to harass the living hell out of Mr. Brees. The only reason Brees broke Marino's pass. record, is because a lot of teams can't get enough pressure on Drew. I know this time will be slightly different, to pressure Brees, and force a few picks. Also Detroit committed far too many stupid penalties or otherwise the game would have been closer. Seeing the Saints win by about 7 points.
DETROIT + 10.5 (LARGE!) GL daddy-o i think i'm gonna join ya, 11 points with a team that is capable of scoring 30 themselves. hell yeah.Just wish they could run a wee bit. |

THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE A LOT CLOSER THAN A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK. I HEAR CAPPERS IN HERE SAYING DETROIT COULDN'T GET IT DONE AGAINST THE PACKERS B TEAM LAST WEEK. THEY WERE GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS LAST WEEK SO THEY COULD PLAY INDOORS AGAINST THIS NO SQUAD. IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE SO MANY STUPID AND I MEAN STUPID PENALTIES LAST TIME IN THERE THEY COULD HAVE WON THAT GAME. GOOD CHANCE THE SAINTS GO DOWN FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. DETROIT HAS ALMOST AS MANY REALLY GOOD WEAPONS ON OFFENSE AND THERE DEFENSE IS RIGHT ON PAR WITH NO. THIS WILL BE A SHOOT OUT AT THE OK CORAL. AND THE LIONS MAY JUST BE THE TEAM STANDING WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS. |

#43 Posted: 1/6/2012 7:08:42 PM This one will get ugly. The Lions are too undisciplined. Brees is a surgeon. Best team in football right now playing in the dome-where good teams go to die. Sorry Detroit, Saints Roll WHO DAT?(-10.5)

dude are you kidding? Detroit with momentum after getting destroyed by a 2nd string QB last week? NO has more momentum than anyone in the league |

#46 Posted: 1/7/2012 4:07:09 AM Face it, this game will go under! CJ is not healthy so there will be more running for the lions. Best prediction result: 31-24 NO

#47 Posted: 1/7/2012 8:51:58 AM THEY WANT YOU TO TAKE THE POINTS!!! But I think this is the day where the Saints start to BRING THE WOOD! That's right, let's see that offensive line get in Suh's head...they won't let him get to Brees, unless he gets ejected along the way! The Saints defense has been kinds quiet as far as forcing turnovers...I see a Matthew Stafford pick 6 in this game. On first instinct, Detroit's the obvious play, but think people...WHO DAT!

#49 Posted: 1/7/2012 12:05:52 PM I think Detroit could be due for an upset here, but will they be? Hmm.. I think not. I wouldnt be surprised at all if Stafford throws 3 picks in the dome. However, i would never play double digits against Detroit in playoffs, no matter what team they would be facing. I don't believe that Vegas will allow the public to grind this one home, public are playing Saints and the Over. Detroits key to succes for this game should be to keep Drew Brees off the field, and i believe they will have succes with that. They have to run the ball alot, on many downs, that will run the time off the clock and will eliminate Brees from the field that factor + the fact that Detroit has been gr8 at the screen passes could be costly for Saints defense. I will never in my life play a double digit spread in playoffs against this Detroit team, especially not with Saints defense, Saints defense have really sucked bad behind as of late.
Vegas has got this one fellas, this one could be highscoring, but 58,5 is the highest spread so far in this season, but public are still playing the over for large and for prime plays?!?! Brian does not compute. So therefore i will lean towards the under as well. You all remember what happened in the Packers-Detroit game, right? 56,5 points was A LOT.
I will fade the Saints and pick the Detroit with the points, also leaning towards the under as i said, i believe they set this one up perfectly.
