It's all about defense. Kinda have to like the Eagles in this spot.

Best Bets...I'm sorry but u haven't lived up to your name.  not at all recently.  U basically made an behind of urself in the Denver V New England thread.   I locked a New england BLOWOUT and u basically crapped on it. then u had the nerve to bring religion into it.

having said that...and venting...it's nothing personal. I just don't trust ur judgement..not one inch.  Yes Dallas is inconsistent, but Philly has sucked this year as well. yes Tampa Bay was AWFUL

gotta take Dallas.   both teams are MIRROR images of each other.  both have looked like INCOMETENT organizations in recent months and both should probably fire their head coaches after the season.  it's the battle of the most blase blase teams.

let's call this the DISSAPPOINTMENT BOWL

Dallas -1.5 to cover

***WARNING***    In all seriousness, just wanted everyone betting this game to realize something important.  The Jets-Giants play at Noon in a must-win type game for each.  The outcome HUGELY effects this Boys-Eagles game.  If Giants win, the Eagles season immediately is OVER.  And believe me, the Eagles will learn just before kickoff or quickly after the game starts that the fat lady has sung.  I don't care how much of a pro you may be, if you find out your season just ended, it's a kick in the nuts.  And at halftime at least, the team will all have downtime to let it sink in.

However, if the Jets beat the Giants, the Cowboys and their home fans will be informed that a win that day will clinch the NFC East and a playoff home game.  So just before kickoff or shortly after you will here the fans getting wild and the team will get a huge boost of new energy and purpose.  Now they are thinking revenge, playoffs, and a rest starters week against Giants.

Just wanted everyone to know this game will take on a whole new meaning just at kickoff time, and the players will have a strong reaction that could effect the outcome greatly.  Good luck to all.  As for me, love my Cowboys, but only way I see them matching the Eagles intensity for 4 quarters is if Eagles are already eliminated and they hang their heads in the 2nd half.  Taking the Eagles in a tease with the OVER.

this is a great point.  this is why the books will often take the late games off the board to adjust the lines harshly or not book it at all.

Totally agree! I would add that this is a perfect parlay scenario for the two games.

I guess I'll finally be rooting for the Giants then.....

But, having said that, this is Philly's third road game in four games, Tampa was a cakewalk - plus the Cowboys got that extra day of rest, but, it is Romo..........

What the hell - Cowboys..........

once upon a time i was a dallas fan!  growing up watching roger the dodger & tony d.

then the men of troy a. & catch22 & da playmaker & primetime...but after the tuna & his regime was let outta big'd'  i gave up on jerry's kid's...too dysfunctional & they need to be more mentally tough & the physicalness may follow? till then...

dream on! or is that dreamteam time!

Yes, tough game to cap considering the unknown ramifications of the earlier NYG game..

I am leaning with the Home team at the moment..

Eagles +1.  I don't think the NYG / NYJ result is as big a factor as some might, although it is worth noting.  I just think these teams hate each other to the point that they want to win regardless of playoff scenarios.  Or if nothing else, to sernd a message and gain confidence. If this was not a divisional rivalry I woudl likely put a little more weight on the other game's result.
