O.K. Newbie, let me explain it to you - Houston's first playoff berth ever, first time they've won the division ever, first everything..............

they're not going to risk everything (even T. J. Yates) against the 4-9 friggin' Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'mon PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's all my professionals?!?!?!?!? Mr. Crazy!??!? I'm shocked at your decision............

Gimme "Rookie Of The Year" seeking Cam Newton and the 7  points - - over - - "Going Into The Playoffs And Clinched The Division For The First Time" Texans..........

C"mon people, I thought this was a "gambling" site.........

Gimme the Panthers and almost the M/L at this point for God's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't really see Houston letting off the gas. If they win their last 3 which is highly possible (Carolina, Ind., Tenn.). Then they can secure top seed and face the likes of Pittsburgh,  New England, or Baltimore on their home field with a first round bye. They have the weakest remaining schedule of the 10-3 teams. I think they will be highly motivated to win in this spot.

Obnoxious post that could not be more wrong. Public loves the Panthers in this one, and why might you ask??? Well it is because the public is in love with Cam and rightfully so. Dude is a freak.

However one man cannot win a NFL game let alone a rookie QB. This is not college football, Cam will not be able to be as effective against a stout Houston D. Houston may be happy with their playoff clinching win but they still have a lot to play for. Don't you think a team like this would love to have a playoff bye and home-field throughout the playoffs for their rookie QB. What kind of team takes their foot off the gas when they have the opportunity to achieve home-field advantage throughout and a bye. Take a deep breath Quad and take another look at this game.

Even if they did limit players like Foster and keep out Andre Johnson they are going to get Yates as many reps as possible because he is still learning and they want to get him as much experience under his belt as possible before the playoffs start.

This Houston D will contain Cam and the panthers because that is what they have done to teams ALL YEAR and even more since Schaub went down. Their D has stepped up and will continue to do so. Furthermore, Foster or Tate or maybe even you Quad could gain 100 yds on this Panthers D. Their defense is awful and gave up 24 points in the 2nd half of last weeks game to relinquish their 23-7 halftime lead. Cam in his greatness did nothing in the second half except throw 2 picks and lead his team on a drive that led to a missed FG. Got to love Olindo Mare!

Panthers were a great bet to start out the year. Started out 5-2 ATS. Last 6, not so much: 2-4 ATS. The market has caught up with the Panthers and are no longer a value play.

Wade Phillips will not be on the sidelines this game. He is taking a  medical leave. That could be a problem.

this is a huge problem.   you can substitute players in the system and make it work, but u cant substitute the mastermind who has successfully orchestrated the system.

The Houston Defense won't miss a beat without Phillips... Herring is more than capable..... Texans defense has shut down several very good offenses including Steelers, Texans, ect.

plus, I love betting against the rookie qb on the road!

I changed my mind on this early lean despite the line-movement.... and this capp which I think will be accurate... let's see if the panther can run against the Texans....

GL TO ALL!

any veteran capper please advise on the Dallas/TB thread...

I'm in first in a pkem league of 40.... top prize is $3000.... I'm at 58.2% on the year.... this Dallas/TB game is driving me crazy....

Hey Mellowman, are you referring to the Titans who were one play away from beating and covering against the 10-3 Saints last week. The same team whom I said I would not bet on but if I did have to pick I would go with the Titans +4...Cant win em all but if I am going to lose a game, I do not mind it when I know I was still on the right side of the ticket which I would have been if I had actually bet on the game. Titans were the right side MellowYellow but this is sports betting and nobody wins them all except I guess you.

If you actually read what I wrote above you would understand that I do actually provide some insight to this forum. However, when I see someone such as Quad calling out another person and doing so without warrant, I will absolutely call them out for doing so. I wish you luck MellowYellow except when we end up on opposite sides which seems to happen a lot. Good thing for me, my pockets have been heavy and hopefully getting heavier.

Very well said- You want all the guys on this thread to stuff their balls in your mouth. Am I understanding you correctly?  Just what relevance does that info serve to better cap this  game? Whatever-

Ok Wad9 well see after this weekend, how you picks pan out.  I had a winning weekend and went 3 of 5 plus hit a nice Sunday and Monday night teaser. So my pockets are fine, I actually bet something. When I offer an opinion, my money is where my mouth is. By the way the 'right side' is where the money is at and you werent there. Just sayin.

Maybe you should just shut it and focus on the games rather than talking trash.

Listen kiddo, one weekend will not get you anywhere. This is a marathon not a sprint. The more you talk the less intelligent you become so it might be wise to take some of your own advice. Stop paying attention to conspiracy theories and focus on winning for more than a weekend. New Orleans was the wrong side but sometimes the wrong side wins out. Vegas linemakers who happen to know a thing or two had the line where it was for a reason. Sharp money bet on Titans side for a reason. Wake up and realize betting favorites and overs constantly like the rest of the public will not get you far. You may win one weekend but you will lose in the long run. I just relish in the fact that I was once in your boat. Fortunately I have adjusted my play.

Go back and look at my posts and run the numbers Wade9. I bet on value and have a winning percentage  ATS  You look at one of my posts and insult me without knowing all the facts. This is probably how you handicap also.

You handicapping: Duh, I think the sharp money is doing this, so I guess I better do it also.

Setting that aside for a moment, you may be upset with me over this pissing contest but pay attention to the rest of this comment it is far more import than a simple pissing contest.

As far as conspiracy theories, the ''sharp money'' regarding 911 are the over 1000 engineers and architects for 911  truth that have studied the facts. If you have ever known an engineer this would alarm the garbage out of you.  . The sharpest money on 911 were the perpetrators who profited immensly by their dastardly murderous deed. The same people who own over 90% of our Congressman. Your defacto masters. But you wouldnt know this as indicated by your sheeplike instinct to follow a group whether it be the sharp's or the squares Et al. So continue on in your delusional world and reap the whirlwind or take the red pill and google architects and engineers for 911 truth while we still have an open and free internet.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.  -Goethe

Aloha B.A.B? Long time. Heres the stats from last week for the Cowboys against a team that almost gave Green Bay their first loss of the season.

Look at the stats from last week. in my book was pretty good against a very stout "D". Tampa Bay as we all know can be like tea. They can be served hot or cold. Recently, its Iced Tea. Dallas on the other hand has a lot of pressure on them to win. Jason Garrett has no biz being the head coach but doing better than the last one. Romo's playing pretty good and his "O" line did not let him get sacked onced against a "D" that put out 7 QB's last season. Cowboys have a lot of pride and possibly jobs to play for from the coaching staff's point of view. . Tis game will be over by the 3rd quarter. TB is not a team that can come from behind from a big deficit no matter how hard they run it. Especially if they run it.

You know what, in re-reading it, this is an obnoxious post - my apologies to kerussein - - you did nothing wrong..........

That being said, I still like the Panthers - maybe not to outright win, but to cover 7.5 points......... SInce Andre Johnson's out, Mario Williams has been out, and what if rookie sensation T.J. Yates happens to get injured........... Do the Texans really want Jake DelPickMe or for God's sake Jeff Friggin' Garcia to lead this first ever division title and playoff charge for the Texans???

Here's my prediction - - a comfortable 14 or so halftime lead, and then the foot slowly starts coming off the gas pedal....

I think Camolina is a good tease this week like 7.5 or higher - what do they possibly have to lose at this point?!?!?!

Once again, good luck everybody, but you've been warned.............

Law of Averages:

Houston has covered 7 straight games. The pressure is def off for them to win. They're in the playoffs; their expectations have been met. Against all odds really with Yates in the last few games.

Back to real things though, motivation is a hell of a drug. Houston has no motivation other than higher seeding which is very important but I think this team is running on fumes.

Wade out doesn't help...I can see Cam's offense staying within 6 quite easily.
