no lines or O/U posted as of yet.  I saw the SD v Kc game and Sd looked awful for the 1st half and gave up too many opportunities.    I'm assuming that GB will be favored by -7 or close to -8.5.

I would lean on the over.  I'm assuming the O/U will be somewhere around.....a total of 49.    Either way I would take the Over.  Somebody is going to be ready to light the other one up.  Green Bay is still arguably the best team in the NFL (unless ur a San fran or Pitt homer) and San Diego should be ready to right the ship.

If I had to pick a side...I would lean towards Green Bay.  but I wouldn't be shocked to see Sd cover...so I'm laying off picking a side for this one.  I'm not trying to be a flip flopper, but it's just a matter of time before Green Bay has a letdown and Sd is due anytime now.  even after losing a close one to Kc in overtime.

Had SD won last night, I think the line would of been Green Bay -3.5/ 49.  With the lost, I see it being -5.5/49.

SD is banged up at running back.

Mathews: Groin

Tolbert: Obesity

Brinkley: Concussion

SD's secondary is not savy enough to keep up with the aerial show known as GreenBay.

I hate to say it, but take Green Bay

Man, Rivers really F***ed me last night. I had that game. I mean, it was lock, stock and barrel.

JUST TAKE THE F'N SNAP, AND FALL ON THE F'N BALL, KICK THE FIELD GOAL, AND GET THE 'F' OUT OF DODGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, I guess I'm not bitter or anything, time to move on.........

O.K. - so using my capping logic and wisely taking everything into consideration, here's my analysis of the game:

I don't give a F*** what the spread is, I will pound Green Bay this week until the cows come home, then I will print out a picture of Philip Rivers, and do an Aaron Rodgers "Discount Double Check" dance on his F'N FACE!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has been one screwed up NFL season and anything can happen.  Whats the saying on any given Sunday.  It won't be this Sunday the Pack off  a bye and the way RIvers is playing the Pack should absoulutely walk all over this Charger team.  But the Saints should have walked all over the Rams last week etc. etc. etc.   I will go with the -5.5.  Pack 27 Chargers 13. GLA

i havent been around much postin, but came on last nite to start a thread on SD COVERING and pretty sure wining head up.

NE lost ~ if u watch tha game it could ve easily been a SD win, yes bad coachin, a DT interception and a missed 4th down in NE goal line. if tht game was played in SD i see a much different outcome, in football home feild do mean a lot more than people give respect for.

NYJ lost ~ SD had a comfortable lead and truck rivers jus killed SD wit his ints, again if tht game was in SD i think outcome would be different.

KC lost ~we all saw wat happen, enuff said.

Now to GB, yes they look BOMB unstoppable at times, but lets not forget CAR wit a rookie CAM NEWTON jumped all over them, MIN with a ROOKIE PONDER ( who im not high on ) was toe to toe wit GB. Any given SUNDAY my gambling buddies things happen, SD have the team to do WORK on GB playin at home is just tht much better, ++++++ tha lost at KC . GB on fire factor kiccs in, FG game reguardless, but SD to me is 55% winner and GB 45%. im be in Palza section 36 row#1 at tha game, and no im not a SD homer!! im a 49ers die heart FAN

Another day, another dollar lost on my POS home team... Short of Rivers forgetting that he has hands, my call of a win by 4 was just a hair off. So unto another week...

In short, the cheese heads win.

The longer answer is the Chargers are a mess. Like I said last week, they play not to lose and also have plenty of injuries. Whenever you're analyzing a Chargers game, always remember San Diego is a fair weather sports town and it's teams reflect that. Why work hard when you can play at the beach? It's sunny and 82 as I'm typing this... Add to that Norv is a nice guy and the last thing the Chargers need, it's a setup for failure.

If anything, this game is for Green Bay to lose. They are going to methodically blast through SD. The only way the Chargers have a chance is if the defense shows up and keeps it close. Then Phillip Fumbles and Co. have a chance for a miracle drive to steal the game at the end... just to note, home field advantage is moderate at best for the Chargers. The herd of cheese heads that come down here to watch their beloved Packers and enjoy our fantastic weather, will be just as loud as the Charger crowed.

Packers win by 7, possibly more depending on if SD has a defense this week.

Yup, this is how everyone feels.  And Vegas is leading us around like we have a ring through our noses.  Take the Chargers.  They will cover at home.

GB wins!!!!!!! The better team, healthy players, and better yet.. back high scoring GAME.

The only let down I see GB losing is to a lowly ranking team. Or may even lose to the Giants.

GB and the OVER.

Quite frankly, this is the easiest game to cap ,but hardest game to bet. And as my friend Bloody Shredder says we're playing in the "Spread League"- not necessarily the NFL. First off ,I don't realistically see the Packers having their win  streak interrupted here. However, with that being said Green Bay is starting to establish another record this season. MOST ALLOWABLE "BACKDOOR COVERS" IN GARBAGE TIME!  Who said betting football was easy?

SAN DIEGO  + 5.5

No idea why spread is so low.  SD is suppose to be good but they are not.  Rivers is beating himself up.  The whole team and coaching as a staff is beating themselves up.

Since Turner took over coaching for SD, as anyone noticed their Take Away has been dropping every year.  You can't win games when you give up the ball.

GB has been strong.  I don't see them slowing down.  GB is going to abuse SD secondary and we will see rivers making more and more mistakes trying to keep up.

The play here is either GB or nothing.  Don't take a chance on San Diego.

Green Bay is a scary team.  They play great defense inside the 20.  They are deceivingly balanced (can run the ball if they have too)  Add that to the fact Rivers is turning the ball over and San Diego is banged up.

Other points: Not an early game, not a division game, GB coming off a bye (yes I know teams coming off a bye have been losing but before this year, teams coming off a bye won...San Fran were fine last week)

Huge game here for the Chargers who let on slip away litterally on monday night ..They will put up great offensive numbers here against a team who has not seemed to care how many the opposition scores , The pack are the best team in the game until someone shows them otherwise, i think the chargers are pissed and i see big days from Rivers , Tolbert , Floyd and Jackson , 7 is usually not a lot to ask from green bay  to cover but the chargers especially at home can get this done ...Take San Diego + 7

Saints at the Rams..no way the Saints lose, right?

Rivers gets it going against a suspect secondary. Doesn't matter who's running the ball as most of the offense in this game is done through the air. Let's not look at this season's stats, Phillip Rivers is an elite NFL quarterback and shows why here. Likely a close one, but the Chargers win straight up

I'm on the Chargers here....

Chargers are tough to beat at home... that offense can score points against any defense at home...

GB defense doesn't impress....

GB offense will put up numbers as usual but the Chargers defense is built to stop passing teams.... their issue is stopping the run....

The mismatch at corner will be exploited by Rodgers (cason I think his name is).... but the chargers will put up enough of a fight to possibly win this game....

I like SD plus 5.5

I also like SD ML playing the GB sluggish after a bye angle (a small wager)

GL TO ALL!

One thing I just noticed during my studies......The best defense the Pack Attack have faced all year thus far is Carolina, ranked at 17th.

Im trying to make a case for myself to bet SD as that is what my gut feeling says to do here. More analysis for me on this one.

The Packers have to lose some time. They aren't the greatest team in history or anything, more like a solid team. The Chargers need this game more.

Chargers 5.5
