The other Chad is starting, not Henne. |

#8 Posted: 11/10/2010 6:38:27 PM I was NOT going to fool with this game until ESPN just announced Chad “No Arm Strength” Pennington was taking the snaps!
Give me Vince Young and his new toy minus the point. Thanks! |

#9 Posted: 11/10/2010 11:22:05 PM Now why do you think the line is still Miami +1 I like to play the odds game i seem to have more success that way. somthing fishy with the line Miami probably wins by 4. |

#10 Posted: 11/11/2010 12:35:46 AM Got 3 points from local bookie (Tenn +3). Chad P. is starting after a long lay off. One word RUSTY. Tenn has a very good defense and I see INT's and TO's from the new starting QB. Tennessee will have the new threat of Moss that Miami will have a lot of focus on and that just clears the field for C. Johnson if he can pass the front line.

#12 Posted: 11/12/2010 1:31:04 PM Lifelong Phins fan here and yeah, i know it's been a heartbreaking experience. But i must say that this is a good spot for a turnaround and i see Phins getting the victory here especially since they lost to Titans last year in OT at Tennessee last year. It's definitely a strong tease play as getting +7 at home is great in case it comes down to a last second field goal which is very possible. Dolphins have finally figured out that they've been toolin' around with the wrong Chad and are now starting the more qualified and well-seasoned vet Pennington. Say what you want about him but I feel way more comfortable with him at the helm than I have with Henne cuzz Henne has done nothing to prove to me that he was built to be a starter in this league. Chad Henne will end up as a lifelong backup, 3rd stringer. You read it here first.....

#13 Posted: 11/12/2010 2:44:15 PM My Dolphins are getting desperate as they bench Henne and starting Pennigton this Sunday. Pennington clearly does not have the arm to get it downfield and already went through surgery 3 times for his shoulder.
What Penne does bring to the table for my Dolphins is a better decision maker, more experienced leader, and throws a more WR friendly ball. He should be way more efficient for us in the red zone where Henne has failed this season.
Also with Penne at QB this should give Brown and Ricky more opportunities to run the ball as I'm not sure if the Titans will know what to expect from Penne as the last time he played a game was early 2009.
Brown started off strong againt the Ravens and Miami not the Ravens took Brown out and put ineffective Ricky on the field more than they did Ronnie....I could not believe they did that
Anyway I rarely wager on Miami games but I may just play on my Dolphins in this one

What up B.D.H.P.D? I see your point on the edge of not knowing what to expect from Pedington but do you think thats what the Titans have been focused on? A very respected team in the Titans will be focused on the guys that get the ball and that is Miami's Running Game as a whole. Not who is handing it off. The one thing that must be taken into consideration is Pedingtons timing when he does throw cause you obviously can't run the whole game or can they?
Tennessee has had a couple of weeks off and with a new face to follow and try to catch up with is Moss. The one that really should woory more is definitely the Miami Defense. They do not have any films of Moss as a Titan and the routes they worked into their Offensive game plan that includes him in it. know one but he Tennessee Staff of Offensive Coordinators. Paired with a good, not great but GOOD defense, Tennessee should win this one by 10+ points due to the lack of offense in Miami. Change is never good in the QB section for a team and surely 1 week of practice for Peddy will not be enough to get back on that bike.
I do respect your posts and consistently take it in consideration as I make my picks but I will have to go the other way on this one Braddah.
Aloha!

Aloha bruddah
Moss faced this Dolphin defense once already this season and Moss had zero catches and was kept in check by Vontae Davis all day...I'm hoping it's the same on Sunday. Moss and the Dolphins defense are very familiar with each other as the Pats and Dolphins rivalry.
As far as Pennington goes I'm not even sure what to expect but I know he is a much better game manager than Henne,
Good luck bro |

#16 Posted: 11/13/2010 10:33:07 AM The Over is very attractive here.
The point spread is very tight as it should be since Miami is 0-3 at home. However, the real value maybe playing the Over. The O/U for TN is 5-3 overall, and Miami is 3-0 at home. |

I'm not trying to call you out or anything but just wanted to make sure that you know that we have yet to win a game at home this season, |

My guess is he means the O is 3-0 for MIA at home. They went over against Pitt, NE, and NYJ at home. |

#22 Posted: 11/14/2010 3:42:56 AM Does anyone know whether Al Harris is starting? Harris was not too shabby when it came to covering moss when they were both in the NFC north. I think Pennington starting is going to help miami w/ their red zone problems. Not sure about Moss's presence and its effect on the titans offense. I'm going to go w/ the over in this game though. I think the all familiar field goals are going to turn into touchdowns for the dolphins. |

#23 Posted: 11/14/2010 4:23:34 AM This and the night game will probably end up being the best ones of the day and I could see this one going either way really. Fisher usually seems to have his team ready and I give them the edge overall though Miami can sometimes bring a game at home just too inconsistent at QB for me to back them here. Could be wrong which wouldn't be the first or last time but I'm taking the -- TITANS PK & VER 42.5

Al Harris will probably see a lot of action as we had to cut Jason Allen to make space for him and Allen played in Nickle and dime situations along with special teams.

#25 Posted: 11/14/2010 6:01:47 AM Forgot to add that Marshall and Pennington spent a lot of time together in training camp working on passing plays. Also Bess was Penne's favorite target before Penne went down with a seaon ending injury.
Over looks like a good call but I'm not sure if our oc Henning will open up the play book as of yet since it's Penne's first game back in about a year. I think it will be a lare dose of Ronnie and Ricky before the passes come out.
I really hope our defense worked on their tackling skills as they were terrible against the Ravens. The Only time the Ravens were held to a punting situation the Ravens pulled out a fake punt and converted for a first down. From what I read coach Nolan emphasized on tackling during practice but if they didn't get it done then Chris Johnson will have a huge day,
If our front seven can shut down the Titans running game we can probably pull out the victory by leaving it in the hands of Vince Young and the passing game...If we don't then the Dolphins will continue their losing streak at home.
I was going to play this one but decided not to so good luck everyone
Aloha! |
