Personally I think the tolet bowl is in my bathroom and has a Cowboys logo at the bottom of the bowl. Now on to this game. Matt Stafford has a damaged throwing shoulder but from what I hear he is expected to play. I hope for the sake of NFL and especially Lions fans that the kid can stay healthy. I'm not sure when he got hurt last week in Chicago but the Lions failed to score in the 2nd half so that must tell us something about his injury. Keep this in mind. It will be a hugh factor. The Eagles also suffered a downed QB last week and will go with the infamous Michael Vick as thier starter. He should fair well in the dome enviornment in Detroit and I expect him to be the leading rusher for Philly in this game. The Eagle better hope he stays healthy or they will become an instant fade in my book. Philly should be able to cover the small line of -3.5 points here but I'd feel better with Philly-3.

My guesstimate - Philadelphia-24 Detroit-20

If Vick's starting give me PHILLY all day. If Kolb is playing I'm staying away. Shaun Hill should have his hands full against a Philly D that did a pretty good job shutting down Green Bay's high-powered offense. Anytime you can hold Rodgers to under 190 yards passing and cause him to throw 2 INT's is a good day.

PHILLY -4 (only if Vick is starting)

Philly has won and covered five straight times against Lions since 1986.  Yes, different teams and years apart but dominance over a team does have some factor into mindset.  Also, Philly off a loss...Vick getting his chance to back up all his talk about being the starter...Lions giving up 430+ total yards to Bears...and they are off an emotional, controversial loss at end of game.   I'd say the Eagles are the pick in this matchup.  Vick will have his way running and passing...Lions don't stop either well and can't afford to focus on one and weaken the other.

I'm staying away from this one, but I'm guessing:

Eagles: 35   Lions: 17

Philly covers & Vick gets snapped in half with a broken neck in the last minute of the game. Priceless.

vick is going to come into this game, looking at it as his best chance to make a resume for next year, so ask yourself.  Would it surprise you if vick rained havoc against a sub mediocre defense given his performance against the packers and all the depth of weapons he has at his disposal?  Because I have to say not at all.  I know the lions are better and i've been talking them up from last year, but the eagles got better at all three levels of defense last year, even without bradley (concussed with kolb).  They kept the vaunted packers offense from looking TOO good, but they are a solid hardhitting D that will bust up a poor detroit offensive line, create turnovers and attack Shaun hill.

Hate to say it but Vick and crew should cover this one on the road.  Look for a fired up Lions squad after last weeks robbery however !  On the Over here as well, I think its 42 ?
