OK, I will get it started since there are no posts one day before the game. I like TN at home to win this game, and cover the small spread. I was going to play them big until their all SEC MLB decided to act like an idiot after last week's game and get himself suspended, and maybe much worse. The NFL is not playing with fools that abuse women and he is accused of a more severe crime. He came back his SR year and could miss out on every single dollar IF he is found guilty of rape. Not saying he will be but any lingering doubt could cost him all. The only reason for dwelling on this is he is the defensive QB, making all the calls and the inspirational leader on the field. This requires more than just a replacement LB and is a loss for the Vols. On the plus side, TN has known about this all week and has had some time to work on this.
Mizzou has a weak offense with an average running game, weak receivers, and an inconsistent QB. They were held to 117 yards total offense against Florida, and under 200 against Georgia. The best part of Mizzou's team is their defensive front who can pressure the QB and get penetration against the run. They are not as solid at LB and in the secondary.
TN has improved all year and their new FR QB has been a real upgrade. He is mobile enough to be able to get past Mizzou's rush and now has his receivers back that had been injured. They still don't have an proven, SEC type runner but they should be able to move the ball enough to outscore Mizzou. The TN defense is their strength and, even without Johnson at LB should be able to hold Mizzou to under 20. This is a big night game and TN needs a win to get bowl eligible and build up their resume to help recruiting and get a better name bowl (they haven't been to one sine 2010. Expect a rowdy crowd who is hungry for a decent season. Low scoring, but TN wins by 7+, guessing something like TN 27 Mizzou 20 Three unit play
