Square money loves to jump on double digit favs during bowl season no matter what the evidence shows. And the evidence leans strongly to Toledo +10. Have not seen any significant smart money yet on either side but if it comes hard, it usually comes on the dog right before kick off so bet Toledo now before the line drops about an hour before kick off

Toledo has faced better quality opp? Did you watch football at all this year? Toledo's schedule was gross. I will give you two games; NILL & Cincy (I guess?). The rest of the teams they played are garbage. Complete & total Garbage. And no, Zona don't count. RR's system takes time to develop and that was the first game his kid ran under that system.
On the flip side, Utah State actually played competent teams. There is a reason San Jose St is a 7 point favorite v BG. And teams like BYU, La Tech, Utah & Wisconsin, etc would have a field day vs "Eastern Michigan" & Akron. Matter of fact, La Tech beat teams like ILL (who beat your "MAC" team in WMichigan) and almost beat TA&M.
The schedules aren't even comparable.
The biggest mismatch in this game isn't even on the field. Its on the sidelines. If you take Toledo in this game, I will be watching the threads for all the posts talking about "what was he thinking". Toledo has made terrible in game adjustments all year, and head scratching calls are made every game. Utah St not only has better players, but a better staff. |
