#26 Posted: 1/4/2012 1:04:43 AM The Line seems a little low.......... On paper Clemson is better , and should roll over WV !, but its a bowl game and anything can happen !!!!! |

#27 Posted: 1/4/2012 1:36:23 AM The books seem to be using rlm to get most the money on clemson in this game. Almost like they dont mind having 85 pct of the money on clemson, which is rare unless they know something we don't. The sharps aren't always right, but they're right alot more than we are. The line has moved back to 3 at most books but that late rlm scares the crap out of me honestly. |

True, but that logic almost means West Virginia stinks. Terps lost to Clemson 45-56 at home. Terps lost to West Virginia 31-37 at home. Could've won both games. They gave up a big lead on Clemson and came back on West Virginia. I don't know if Clemson is any good, but I'm pretty sure West Virginia isn't.

#31 Posted: 1/4/2012 9:11:41 AM Dont read too far into the line movement or sharps thing. W virg is an inconsistent team. They havent really put the wood on anybody and clemson has shown more explosiveness. Total kind of high but i hate unders. Clemson and ov for the large!!!!! |

Beat good rutgers and cincinnati teams on the road. One of the few teams to actually move the ball vs. lsu, even gave them a mild scare for a while.
Also we're talking about a clemson team that got destroyed by nc state, and demolished by south carolina. I see this as a fairly even game honestly, but i think the rb's being out for west virginia is gonna hurt them a bit more. Both teams should be motivated because neither was thought to be that great preseason. Not to mention it's a prime time orange bowl game.
While UC was a good win for WVU - WVU got a defensive score in the 1H, was outscored in the 2H by a guy named Munchie, and barely avoided UC tying it at the end of the game by missing a chippy FG. |

#34 Posted: 1/4/2012 2:17:43 PM Everyone SEEMS to be with Clemson in this game, WHY? I like West Virginia to win this game outright!!! Reasons being..........
West Virginia: 419-315 points scored/allowed, 5 wins against bowl teams, 5 games with opp scoring over 28 pts (Nothing to brag about), 28th in defense, 18th in offense, 4-1 in away games (This is an away game), They have shown that they KNOW HOW to win the very TIGHT games 4-1.
Clemson: 437-340 points scored/allowed, 9 wins against bowl teams (That's good), 7 games with opp scoring over 28 pts (NOT good!!!!), 59th in defense, 29th in offense, 2-3 in away games (They STRUGGLE away from home, this is an away game), They are ONLY 1-1 in VERY TIGHT games (Not use to playing in CLOSE games, could be a factor). Whenever Clemson loses, they LOSE BIG!!!
These are the reasons why I like West Virginia in this game.
Also, in my opinion, the quarterbacks are a wash...BOTH are GOOOOD!!!
Final score: West Virginia 31 Clemson 28 (Another Close game that WV wins!!)

#36 Posted: 1/4/2012 2:49:36 PM Both these squads are notorious choke artists. Mine as well flip a coin to pick a side. I'd fade the public if there was a gun to my head but I'd save it all for LSU NATION. |

I do not normally respond to posts like these but....
When your post is TOTALLY inaccurate I will...
You might want to go back and look again...
And I'll wait for your NEW % and we can discuss it.
Thanks!

#40 Posted: 1/4/2012 4:47:03 PM The under 1 h/31.5 and game under is the play. I dont like unders, hate to play them, But i will. I like Clem to win.
In wv's last 3 game their 3 nd down conversions are 2/14 vs so fl, 2/12 pit, 5-16 ciniy. looks like a trend.
Also like baily's over on yards passing. |

Best way to play for tonight are teaser....might Tease W. Va + 10 and Over 57.5....Have a feeling that Clemson will keep the game close and Kick last FG to win Monkey Line!

Yes Clemson is a good team...WVU is at best a mediocre team. Couldn't the Big Least been represented by a number of crappy teams such as Louisville, UConn, Rutgers, or WVU? Hell, this same BCS bound WVU team lost @ Syracuse, and at home against Louisville!
Comparing how which team beat another team is a poor way to cap a game. Based solely on that I should have bet the farm on Iowa State instead of Rutgers in the New Era PinStripe Bowl (or whatever the name of that game is) solely because they beat Okie State at home and blew out one of the FBS worst defensive teams in the nation in Texas Tech. Glad I took Rutgers.....
ACC vs Big Least....come on, this WVU team is here only because of how the stupid BCS rules are written. They play in a mediocre at best football conf and someone from that POS conference had to get a BCS bowl bid so why not WVU?
This one should be about like watching Oklahoma manhandle UConn last year in the Fiesta Bowl. Give me Clemson -3... |

#47 Posted: 1/4/2012 5:51:04 PM I've beat my head against the wall with line movement analysis for the last time. First off you never know if it's smart money or public money moving the line. You never know if smart money bets the opposite side initially to create a favorable line to bet on the real side. And of course the smart money doesn't always win. darn IT!! I'm not looking at that fuckin line movement anymore. The only thing I'm trusting going forward are the hard stats and mine show West Virgina in this one. |
