#3 Posted: 12/19/2011 8:19:42 AM Clemson, who isn't all that good IMO, wins this one easily. The ingredient to beating Clemson is a fast, athletic defense.
There will not be a fast, athletic defense in the Orange Bowl.

Clemson is good? Lost to Georgia Tech and got the garbage kicked out of them by NC State. Barely beat Wake Forest. Don't let the two Va Tech wins suck you back into the Clemson Titanic.

Read my post again. I said Clemson ISN'T all that good. Neither is WVU. Clemson, a not so good team, rolls here. |

Sammy Watkins was out for the NC St game. He is a big part of that offense |

Clemson should light up a weak WVU defense with all their playmakers. The Big East makes the ACC look like a powerhouse conference. Clemson rolls in this one despite Dabo on the sidelines. I like clemson also but if you wanna make a case for west virginia it's not that hard to do. The acc isn't any better as a conference than the big east, talent wise they are very similiar. Beat good rutgers and cincinnati teams on the road. One of the few teams to actually move the ball vs. lsu, even gave them a mild scare for a while.
Also we're talking about a clemson team that got destroyed by nc state, and demolished by south carolina. I see this as a fairly even game honestly, but i think the rb's being out for west virginia is gonna hurt them a bit more. Both teams should be motivated because neither was thought to be that great preseason. Not to mention it's a prime time orange bowl game. |

#16 Posted: 1/3/2012 1:37:41 AM The acc looks like a powerhouse conference compared to the big east argument is so lame, and very untrue. I still like clemson but that argument means nothing, the acc isn't a powerhouse football conference either. |

#22 Posted: 1/3/2012 11:00:24 PM Don't get it. Heavy public favorite line moving opposite way. West Virginia couldn't be more unimpressive. Will Clemson regain the magic?
Both plays feel gross. Clemson -2.5 along with every tom person and harry and johnny come lately gambler after opening at 3.5?
Give me that OVER in a shoot out. Small play on West Virginia contrarian investment. |

#23 Posted: 1/4/2012 12:16:39 AM I don't understand the late moves toward wvu. Really perplexing considering they have the key injury. Im at a loss, that along with how i saw vt's defense play vs. michigan tonight, yet clemson crushed them not once but twice? |

The
Mountaineers leading rusher is out and the other back (Shawne Alston) runs a
5.2 in the 40. Both teams have 2.5 Playmakers at the receiver
position. Clearly WV gets the check mark under center with Geno
Smith. I typically like to be on the side with the stronger QB, however
I've watched both of these squads multiple times this year and I think Dana
Holgorsen is a terrible tactician and he doesn’t make great decisions in tight situations. I think Dabo Sweeney will out coach him in a tight game AND this will be a tight game.
With that said, put me down for Clemson minus less than a field goal
please. Thanks!

Totally agree. I am worried I'm missing something here. Seems totally logical to take Clemson. |
