#52 Posted: 1/8/2012 10:45:06 PM Cab we please stop this talk about how OK State would be a better game? geez either of these teams would beat them by 20. And these people that talk about "rewarding" a team, gimme a break. OK State has a loss, and even if they didn't they wouldn't deserve to be in the game. This is not about having an undefeated team in the final, it is about having the two best, and based on the whole season it is very hard to dispute these are the top two teams. It is them and everyone else. OK State had their hands full with Stanford's size. OK State tackling is like watching guys just hang on and drag someone down eventually.
Bama outplayed them first game. That INT at the goal line was a bad call, the kid was down. McCarron threw another big pick when they were driving. I don;t see the same mistakes. I see Bama with a better D and a better QB, albeit barely. I don;t like the McElwain issue, and Mathieu can do anything at anytime. Drastic line move, hopefully it stays under 3.

#54 Posted: 1/8/2012 11:11:18 PM Hate Saban more than LSU coach(just barely)...need LSU-1 to complete 5 team Parlay......will have to put 500 on Alabama to try to win at least 500...my local guy will probably have it at -1, -1(which they do around here alot)......think Alabama wins, hopefully by more than 3(in case local guy has it -3).

#61 Posted: 1/9/2012 3:20:39 AM The only way i can really break this game down anymore after alot of thought is too take a simplistic approach
- rb edge- Alabama, but lsu has MUCH better depth, if richardson gets hurt or dinged, bama loses, same can't be said for lsu
-qb edge- Neither is very good. Lsu's qb is more mobile and can extend plays, possibly a running threat. Alabamas qb is less prone to making an oh garbage play and completely boning you. Id call this a wash
- defense edge- Both are great- Lsu's secondary almost impossible to throw against. Bamas almost impossible to run against. IT's a wash to me
special teams- This is the one part of these teams where it's not even close. Lsu's edge in this part of the game is gigantic. They have the better punter, the better kicker, and far and away the better return man. Lsu wins this and it's a big deal when you're talking about teams that play this good of defense.
Coaching- On game day, i want les miles. Nick saban is not a great gameday coach. Les fits in better with his team because of his happy go lucky loose demeanor.
My pick is lsu. But it's going to be really close either way. Lsu has proven they can win ugly, ffs they're qb had 35 yards passing vs. georgia and they still blew them off the field. |

And why on earth would you like that? Do you like seeing kids kid beaten? WVU doesn't belong on the same field as either of these elite teams, geez WVU is in the Big Least for crying out loud, that is a basketball conference, those guys can't play football.

#69 Posted: 1/9/2012 10:07:47 AM I dont post much but had to give my 2cents since this is a GREAT GAME to end the season!!!!
Im rollin on the bama wagon due to more star athletes and key players like Barron, Kirkpatrick, Hightower, Richardson, who all will make it to PRO, LSU is also going against the best run defense! Which is a key factor of the game... ALSO BAMA has a little more fire power offensively, LEE or MCCarron I have my money on MCcarron anyday. AND last but not least TRENT RICHARDSON will have a tremendous game and will get it in and pay his dues for the Heisman candidate.. Yes alabama lost previosly, but today is a new day! PRIME TIME to shine and the golden finger points tooo
ALABAMA BABY!!
BOLA!

#71 Posted: 1/9/2012 11:30:46 AM Both offenses will come out firing... Had plenty of time to prepare for the D on both sides... big plays for both teams early...
LSU special teams makes the difference... field position in this game will be the X.
LSU for the LARGE...

1) It is Jefferson or McCarron. 2)McCaron vs Lee is a toss up at best. 3) LSU just finds a way to get in done week in and week out. I am riding LSU to the ship. LSU & Under LARGEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! |

#75 Posted: 1/9/2012 1:47:42 PM I normally don't play teasers but I'll tease this game.
Two team teaser LSU +8 & over 34
Playing the side Alabama -2.5
Alabama should win by 3 to 7 points
That should be a good roll |
