#2 Posted: 12/8/2011 11:12:09 AM I'm taking Northwestern here. They have won 4 of their last 5, including beating Nebraska in Lincoln, with the only loss being to Michigan State in that stretch. Dan Persa should have a great day against the A&M pass defense (ranked 113th nationally).
The Aggies have lost 4 of their last 5, the firing of their head coach was a disaster, as his family found out via social media before he did, and they can't be thrilled about playing in the Meineke Car Care of Texas Bowl.
Northwestern, +10

#3 Posted: 12/13/2011 10:09:19 AM I think you have to take A&M and the points here...sympathetic spot and a home crowd not to mention the 10.5 pts... |

What up bmilehigh? I haven't gotten this far in breaking down games yet... my first lean is Northwestern. I'll post as soon as possible. Good luck in the bowls!! |

#10 Posted: 12/23/2011 3:11:27 PM I don't like giving this many points in a bowl game, especially with the coach getting axed. Over looks like the best play, but with the offenses not playing for a month, I wouldn't go big on a 66 point O/U.

#12 Posted: 12/25/2011 9:51:33 PM A&M is better than their record reflects. They should close this one out. |

#13 Posted: 12/29/2011 6:34:56 PM A&M has talent. RB Stud Cyrus Gray is probably for this game.
Obviously A&M has been distracted with the firing of Sherman and their DC going to Fresno. But, with 60K Aggies at Reliant, a strong desire to end the season on positive note with a winning record, I think A&M has the motivation.
Persa is the real deal and he will create problems for A&M, but I think with a month to scheme, A&M will be ready to dominate.
A&M destroyed Baylor earlier in the season. They can put points on the board.
I may have to take the Aggies -9

#14 Posted: 12/30/2011 10:01:36 AM and A&M is playing for their fallen OL Senior Lineman Comrade who was killed in an auto accidcent two days before Christmas...
with all the turmoil A&M has been through with the termination of Sherman and a disapointing season, I think they put it together at a quasi home game in Houston and end their season on a high note.
A&M has the talent, and yes Persa is a good QB for NW, but I think the intensity and finish of A&M will result in an A&M win and cover.
Texas A&M -9 |

#15 Posted: 12/31/2011 3:13:07 AM If the game was played on paper, Aggies would win this by 30. Northwestern has had a solid year, and persas a damn good qb who rarely makes bad decisions. Still i don't think they can keep up with the speed of the aggies. |

#16 Posted: 12/31/2011 3:47:18 AM This over is as easy as the Baylor/Washington - Air Force/Toledo games. Don't worry vegas is making it up on every other game so far. |
