#1 Posted: 9/4/2012 9:58:04 PM I'm in a race pool that is set up like the nascar chase except only the top ten in pts moves on for last 10 races. I am currently in 12th only 8pts behind 9th. With the race @ richmond shaping up to be a wild one more than likely, who would yall recommend as being the safest pick for me to finish in the top 5 in the race. Pts are awarded according to what they receive in nascar scoring system. Thanks in advance for positive input.

#2 Posted: 9/4/2012 11:49:22 PM It seems now that Brad is always running in the top 5...I'd also look at Newman. He has to win to get in, and he's good at that track.
However, Kyle or Denny have won 7 out of the last 8 races there. I think either one of those would be the best pic.

#3 Posted: 9/5/2012 12:09:21 AM I would go with Clint,jj, or Carl every1 4gets Carl dominated this race n may and NASCAR black flagged him 4 jumping a restart late n the race and I mean dominated it!!!! Carl at 20-1 is great value on a side note Stay away from kyle and Jeff there is no telling who will dump who 2 win |

#5 Posted: 9/5/2012 10:12:32 AM Thanks for the input, leaning the 15, 48, 99 or 2. The 24 & 18 just seem a little risky to take in case they wreck each other! Shouldn't be in this situation, whoever i've selected the last 4 weeks has been snakebit(jj blowing up with 4 laps to go, kenseth @ bristol etc...) Also think the 29 may show up @ richmond

#7 Posted: 9/5/2012 7:15:33 PM kouz....no doubt about it. The 11 or 18 is who my money would be on if I had to pick a guaranteed top 5 pick for this week.
JGR has hit on something.

#9 Posted: 9/5/2012 9:00:14 PM kouz...88 will be going for the win.
Smoke will be the one tip toeing around to maintain the 10 spot. Its worth 9 points to him to maintain that spot. If he falls to 11th then he starts the chase at 0 bonus points.

#11 Posted: 9/5/2012 10:29:15 PM Oh yes he cares stats. 9 points is HUGE he'll tell you that from last year. If it comes down to winning or playing safe on fuel Im convinced he won't chance it.
But what the heck do I know.
