A couple of small scores on exactas and Calidioscope fell in my lap after Worth Repeating scratched. So I had a decent WP bet on him and made a few bucks. Two plays I gave out here were piss poor. Mark Casse horse Spring Venture was given little shot by a suspect ride from pat Husbands and SKy Lantern ran into a wall of horses .
Filly and Mare turf was not much better. One thing I learned is that the Euros are really not running well on the lightning fast turf course in ARid Southern Cal as opposed to last year where they did suprisingly well. Maybe their crop just is not that good this year.
Anyways today i have a few bombs that I thinkw ill be live.  So lets get into it

Race 7

13 Unbridled Note - I am prone to take a horse who has a race over the downhill surface and has had success than those who have not. Has run well in two previous dirt starts. including third in Amsterdam and Kings Bishop

10 Corporate Jungle - Certainly no shame in running second to Wise Dan . They say the mile turn back on the hill is a good one. Chad Brown is a materful trainer and will win one here over the weekend.  Could this be the one.

7 Rennesgotzip - The bounce off the big effort off layoff was predictable. Has had a month to sharpen up and the wise guys are on board for this one. I think if the synthetic form translates to the turf this one is live.

1 California Flag must be respected as a former champ and distance and surface specialist Also Mizdirection is a horse with a shot.

Race 8

8 Fortify - We saw Hightail win the juvenile race as the horse who had run without Lasix. This one has spent its short career without Lasix in all three starts. That may be all the advantage this one needs with Ramon aboard and going two turns for the first time.

1 Title Contender - I am taking the higher priced Baffert horse here A :59 bullet work and 310K son of Pulpit. I am not sold on the competition that Power Broker faced in that G1 and why did it take so long to put this one on the dirt? First call Jockey Martin Garcia gets mount and this one could be forgotten on tote.

4 Shanghai Bobby - Only question is two turns. This one is undefeated and has done it convincingly. Champagne was an impressive race and this could be a real good one.

If they fly up front 6 Dynamic Sky will have a shot at a price with a strong closing run. Will use underneath mostly.Power Broker can win but I have a hard time falling head over heels for a horse who was pointed to turf for 2 of 3 starts before trying dirt.

Race 10

11 Amazombie - Won this last year and has beaten capital account when in good form. Probably needed the last and should give a big account of  himself in this one . Big shot at repeating.

10 Smiling Tiger In the money 7 of 7 at this distance. Ran well in True North to be 3rd after troubled start. That one took a lot out of him I am guessing and the next start was bad and then the layoff. Working well up to this and has Ramon aboard.  Has beaten Amazombie before and If you are going to win a race like this off a layoff its probably the sprint.

6 Fast Bullet - Eye popping workouts. This one will have lead as they turn for home can he hold it off a big layoff I am n ot sure but doubt Baffert enters him here if he isnt live. Big price on a good horse that may be a beast at the age of 4. Speightstown colts are rock solid.

I also thin Flat out or Ron the Greek takes the Classic making Bill Mott the winner of both ends of Classic double.

Game on Dude is a terrible bet IMO . He could not win this last year against Drosselmeyer. This field is much better than that and he is the same horse who is probably better suited for 1 1/8th mile.

Good luck and hit them hard ... Redemption  day is Saturday.

After seeing what Royal Delta did to the ladies field makes think Game on Dude wins the classic. You cant compare races from year to year. Different tracks, different circumstances, different everything. Also the euros l

Also the euros looked pretty good on the turf to me today. Flotilla at 11-1 made easy work of that field and the last race of the day on the turf which was not a BC race was dominated by the only 2 euros in the field. GL tomorrow

I did not watch the Finale but went back after your comments and saw replay. That was a race Grandeur who had been known to have an affinity for from turf courses ran against a week field but nevertheless a good win. I am not knocking Euro's Floatilla was good but Fugue Jockey runs up the fools of other horses. Risdayna ( spell that). Jockey starts running his horse 100 yards from wire . Just felt not a strong effort overall . Dundonnell will be on my tickets but horses like St. Nick Abbey and Shareta are coming off weak performances and that's my concern. Maybe I get my behind handed to me today but I am skeptical after watching yesterday.
