Look like I hit a nice exacta in the Juvenile Sprint but my main tickets are shot in the Pick 6. Saver ticket is still alive.

Cats well and truly among the pigeons.. I know far too early to draw conclusions as shocks do happen but could the absence of Lasix simply have exposed Merit Man as below average?

Thanks. As I wrote earlier, the only reason I liked Hightail was because 5 of his 8 races were run without meds and were competitive. The "no lasix" rule definitely has an effect.

cheers. well that changes the complexion of the juvenile scene and this is not good for the American breeding industry if the rest of the juvenile races go to clean horses and rightly so. Coolmore and Darley are the superpowers in that area and they'll be smiling after the weekend if that proves the case!

It will be interesting to see how #1 Kittens Point does in the Juvenile Fillies Turf. I used her today as I was intrigued that she has competitive figures and is one of the very few American two year olds who has not used Lasix, which could be an advantage for her today.

FYI, Calidiscopio scares me here as he has an excellent Tomlinson rating and is used to carrying high weight far. Wish he was on my live Pick 6 ticket and not my dead one.

he won! lol.. only small stakes but nice price and pay for a good few drinks! Just looked on Breeders Cup site. they denoted Hightail as Lasix. I just wish I knew for sure which of those 5 races. If it was the LAST 5 consecutive races he went clean then we can perhaps draw conclusions. No point reading too much into it.

Still undecided in the next. Initially liked Watsdachances but Spring Venture is also leaping out at me! Gotta take on Sky Lantern as she's a touch short for my liking. Kitten's Point and Flotilla are the other two I'm also looking at. GL

Why didn't I box my 5 horses in $2 exactas? Would've cost me $40 and paid $505. Why didn't I box my 5 horses in the triple for $2? Would've cost me $120 and came back $2,167.

Nothing like using two monster longshots who win the first two legs of the Pick 6 and I have them both but on separate tickets.

Horse racing is so so much fun. LOL

ouch.. I do love horse-racing and do quite well. Used to like baseball but game's changed. A clean game is more unpredictable. Just NFL and horses really.

Gonna go with Spring Venture EW in the next. Waiting for Ridasiyna but worried about the ground and may lay off some of the stake. Will see how the Europeans cope in the next. GL

I was kicking myself for not using him on my saver ticket and that's why I wrote you before the race that he is the horse who scared me the most. If I had used him on my saver, how many people would be alive with me after two legs with the longest shot on the board in Leg 1 with a 17-1 garbage in Leg 2? :(

That is unlucky. I never really play those types of bets or parlays. Always singles especially on horses. I have a placepot going meaning I gotta finished placed rather then win all 6 to get a dividend but even still I only play placepots on the truly big meetings.

I wouldn't think anyone have both winners going???

Flotilla wins at 11-1.

I miss the exacta and superfectas...and I should be alive on my Pick 6 with a 15-1, 17-1 and 11-1 and would be one of the only people in the world still alive!

lol.. Had her as the best of  the Europeans especially at that price. The damn problem was I wasn't sure how she'd coped with the ground but the horses in America don't gallop to the start like they do over here.  Her dam did the same thing. She moved to California from France and coped with the firm ground well. Just overthought her chances got muddled up with her action too.  Lesson learnt there. Spot on analysis but overthought the race. pass on the next. Waiting for Ridasiyna and Grandeur in the last. BAck tomorrow. GL mate!

I really should be alive in the Pick 6 but at least I'm alive on two tickets for 5 of 6.
