True story:

I was at the Venetian sportsbook bar yesterday, and some dude came up and asked for a vanilla latte.  Everyone within earshot turned to look at this dude.  After the bartenders obviously told him "no, they didn't have anything like that" and he walked off, we all were laughing our fools off, bartenders, patrons and waitresses.

And just to address some of the other comments:

-Corona may be bad beer, but it's not happy.
-White Russians are not happy and can be ordered by the most manly of men.

Anyone who walks around w/ a slice of fruit in their beer is a little questionable.  It just is not something a man should do.

Corona is terrible, but the problem with it here is what heywud commented on. Any fruit in beer is a manlaw violation. Thus a Corona with a lime is a "gateway" drink as it may lead to gayer drinks.

I agree wit MWC. I am not here to defend Corona BUT, I have seen guys drinking a Jack & Coke or Bacardi & Coke with a lime in it, SO.......Is a lime only off limits to a beer or any drink with a twist is happy?

Any daquiri not consumed on a beach, cruise, etc cannot be excused (with or without a floater of 151 rum).

This is not an easy question. I think the relative amount of coke to bourbon or rum would need to be taken into account. Also if it's served with lime, if you leave it alone it's better, but if you squeeze it, then it's er

Am I the only one who finds the man-law by Miller Lite about putting lime in your beer ironic - being that Miller just released a beer with lime already in it?

you are incorrect about why the Mexicans are laughing at Gringo Corona drinkers. they are laughing because they know the Mexican brewery workers all PISS in that garbage water. so it's not only SHITTY beer, it's PISSY beer too or as they call it in Texas, Mexican Weasel Piss

pina colada or anything frozen for that matter, cocktails with more than one juice (sea breeze, bay breeze, etc.), anything with a cherry (whiskey sour, tom collins), brandy alexander, any kind of martini other than the old fashioned gin or vodka kind

Gotta go with Strawberry Daq and Pina Colada (in fact, if you can spell dakuree, it makes me wonder) for the top two.

In general, if there is a body part, or it's a sex act, you probably shouldn't be drinking it.

With most drinks, like in Life, you have to "read the room"

You're at a wedding, you know you're gonna be slurping champagne.
Italian restaurant, you gotta have the vino.......
Sportsbar, it should be beer and only beer. You are there to watch one or more sporting events, not get plowed. And the food served there (hot wings, burgers, etc.) are best had with beer. Don't get me wrong, your parlay hits, have a shot and a beer.
Now, a drink with a twist.......we're getting into a grey area here. I'm sure we're in agreement, that if it is an inherent part of the drink, it's okay. I mean, a celery stalk in a Bloody Mary, and the humble olive in a martini need to remain.
For some reason, bartenders like to drop a lime slice into almost every damn thing nowdays, I don't know why. But, if it's already in your drink, it's too late. But make sure you tell him you don't want that in your NEXT drink.
But we're talking about at a club. I don't think beer is a good idea. I think women look at that and say "There's a guy that likes to burp"...........anything on the rocks seems manly enough to me. And the man is right. Lose the straw.

Cheers!

An all encompassing answer from The Hawk, nice work.

A straw has been mentioned a few times here. I think of a straw as what you get at McDonald's. I think what we are referring to is that red hollow swizzle stick that comes with the drink. Holy garbage, did I just type "swizzle stick?"

Thanks, PRod, swizzle stick it is. But, I'm tellin' ya, these bartenders put in various size of straws. The long black ones? I mean twice the lenght of the glass. And the thin red double "straw" that is so thin you couldn't draw anything threw it if one of those "redtube" chicks were sucking on it. And the short clear straw that couldn't reach the bottom of the glass if you wanted?
Yeah, my gin and tonic is going through that.........right.

The reason I hate straws, even for a milkshake, is that I want to taste the drink on my lips. Same with beer. Never out of a can. Poured into a glass, so I can taste it.

Thanks again. Good drinks to all!
