I'm not looking for member's usernames. I'm just curious as to how anybody can be trusted with picks, or their reasons for posting them. I've come to this conclusion: I'm gonna go with what I feel is the strongest play, no matter what anybody else says. If I feel that blindly tailing someone is the strongest play, I'll do it. Granted, I really dig great write ups and insightful glimmers of what's to come, but when it comes down to the brass tacks, the only person I will truly trust is myself.
Are there people on here who are in the pockets of the betting sites? If there are, and they sway me one way or another, that's on me. I'm not savvy enough to be able to differentiate a joe-shmo like myself, from a planted rabble-rouser, who attempts to get "the public" to go one way or another.
I guess it's in the way someone presents themself. If I like your style, I'll listen. If I don't, I'll still listen, because you never know.
I tend to look at betting football like this: the more perspectives I have on a situation, the better my chances are of getting to that place of confidence. It's fun, exciting even, when I'm super confident in a pick. It's weird, but winning is more important than the money I win... except when I lose.
I'm one of those lurkers. Going back to 2007(changed my account a couple of times due to life happenings), I've seen a lot of finger pointing, smack talking and blah, blah, blah going on in here. It's the nature of this type of site. I've also seen a boatload of members who handicap the heck out of games, many of whom helped bail me out of some stupid-arsed plays. If the majority of this forum were doooosh baaags and only a handful were keepers, I'd still be coming back.
So point your fingers, write those phenomenal write ups, talk all the smack you can muster. I'll keep coming back.
Will I trust any of you? Maybe. Maybe not. But I'm gonna have a good time getting there.
Peace and love, peace and love.
