HJS is off to a sluggish start, and that's putting it mildly.
If I broke down the 5 weeks individually, I could point out that I had more winning bets than losing bets in 3 of 5 weeks thus far.
Unfortunately, the reality is my bottom line for the season says I am down a decent chunk of change. I would love to claim "bad beats", but the truth is I am simply making bad reads on too many teams.
With that said, after a week off from posting, I am back at it ...
Clev +4. Hoping Brownies can get to 17, which should be enough to cover.
Buff +3, ML. Looks like EJ will get the start for Bills, and I get an extra 3 points because of it ... not going to need it, as Buffs win this one regardless of who is under center. Brutal spot for Cinci. Need to point out that I have been poor this year in my big plays, and this is another one.
Hou - Jacks. I'm not betting this game, just wanted to say that the only person on the planet who will watch this one, besides the players Mom's, is Getty.
Det -3. Yes, I admit that even though I didn't post it, I bet the Lions big last week. The only reason I am back on them this week is because Stafford got benched mid game, and maybe that will wake this team up. BTW, this team has no heart, so I am limiting my wager size.
Pitt +4. Not exactly sure why, but I like this one a lot. Plenty of reasons not to, but I'm boarding the Mike Vick gravy train. (gravy train, isn't that the name of a dog food?)
Mia +1.5, ML. The team quit on Philbin, and all reports are that the players are excited to have Campbell as the HC. Can they make an abrupt turn around? I am making a large investment that says yes.
Philly -5. Could have gotten this at 4 but waited too long to lock it in. NY is dealing with a plethora of injuries at some key spots. I'm not sold on the Eagles as being elite, but I'm also not impressed with the Giants (yet). If Philly gets the offense going early, this one could get ugly.
As my buddy Cyrax says ... time to get back on track.
GL this week, fella's
