Stupid pressure on every pitch, every play, and every at bat. Christ you saw it in the O's game. To balls thrown past the first baseman? There should never be game 7 pressure in a playoff game opener. The game wasn't meant to be played like that. Five game series create enough of a pressure cooker atmosphere, let alone, one and done. I'd buy 2 out of 3, and as dl stated, with back to back games, it could be scheduled. Congrats Bets BOL going forward.

#30 Posted: 10/6/2012 12:49:17 AM and 2 of the Atl runs where DIRECTLY from a time out call that should not of been given ... hell even ross swung at the pitch not thinkin he would get timeout requested that late.
It could of been 6-1 final
so many coulda's and woulda's . If the Braves wanted to win they shoudlnt of let it come down to a questionable infield fly rule(even though it didnt really anyways) . They should of made plays on playable balls. Not swung for the fences on every single 2-1 pitch their way. Dont want to get called for interference???? Well then dont fuckin interfere ? The cards beat a team on the road that was made to win these 1 game playoffs. Shutdown 8th in and 9th inning guy and a pitcher that hanst lost in 4598669206898204598 starts in a row. Yet.... all im hearing is coulda shoulda woulda's.... of course im going to defend my team |

yeah... Cardinals arent even a .500 team on the road. They stood a tought test having to play a team that seemed built for a one game playoff series. Lets not forget who was heavily favored in this match up . To see everyone complaining about a infield fly call when they lost by 3 runs is boggling my mind. Thats why I have been a bit annoying myself in pointing out certain facts. Hell I wanted to change the fuckin game after Ross was granted that timeout and struck out.. That was the 3rd out... that bad umpiring decision that was agianst the norm directly led to 2 braves runs on the next pitch. Why isnt anyone talking about a play that for sure led to some runs instead of a play that might of led to some runs Saw that you was on Braves and im sorry bout that. |

#33 Posted: 10/6/2012 1:10:09 AM I hope you don't think that I would rehash a game, the good and bad calls and plays within it, and then complain about one instance, Bets. I posted in more then one thread early today, I didn't like the one and done, think it's friggin stupid, and a slap in the face to teams that ground out 162 games just to go down in flames in one. The Cards took the pressure as I expected them too, seeing that they've been through that lose and go home garbage many times before. You would think that the Rangers would have handled the pressure a little better also, but another choke by them. Hope they change the rule next year, you could see obvious jitters and mistakes by all four teams, and even the umps. Just a bad way to decide who moves on. I'm sure they'll be even more controversy if one of the wildcard wins two at home and goes on to eliminate a team that had a better record because of that rule change. They should just stop tweaking the rules, unless they use their heads instead of just thinking of the money. BOL on the rest of the playoffs.

#34 Posted: 10/6/2012 1:22:34 AM yeah good point on the Rangers Triple2's .... I wonder whats going through their heads right now. Not sure how much I like this 2nd wildcard thing... although I do appreciate it right now with Cardinals being a beneficiary of it the first year its inducted ... I cant lie there |

I cant lie there I actually like the idea of the second wildcard, for a number of reasons, just don't think it should be any less then a 3 game series to decide who moves forward. Actually then the reward of the first two games at home would make more sense because of the travel expended in the wildcard round. That reward now, seems foolish, for just playing basically a "play in " game, and getting the upper hand against teams that had a better record over 162 games. Believe me I can see this two game at home for the wildcard, being an issue moving forward, and hopefully they'll change things around and get it right for the players and the fans, not just the greedy owners.
