I'm sure the box guys can take it from here.

In that case Jon Campbell is pretty friggin stupid.

That's the bottom line here. Once this story hits the mainstream 6oclock evening news in an inevitable blurb, covers.com will be mentioned more times than their advertising geniuses could ever imagine possible, and all for free! They don't care what context it comes from, as long as they get their website mentioned to the masses.
Just look at the full tilt publicity, no one in their right mind would give that site a second thought, yet there's always going to be a new herd of sheep waiting in line to get slaughtered. |

He was talking about SJP getting publicity. Covers won't get mentioned ... ESPN will.

so what you're saying is that I shouldn't expect an apology from "Ponch" anytime soon for being unjustly boxed for 2 months? by the way, I think Ponch was trying to get into SJP pants. good thing he didn't or he would have pulled out a schlong.

Jon Campbell is the guy who recently said that many members were jealous of SJP success here right?

I respectfully disagree. there is no way in Hell those scam artists are currently loving this. people know where you live, where your family lives, having to hide in your home in fear of answering the door. that isn't the way that those people were hoping this would turn out.

I wouldn't say I have it all figured out - I just know more then most do, including some mods, about the whole SJP fiasco.
I know Matt.
I know the characters involved - not personally...
I know of the unlawful bannings and most of the WHY's.
I know SJP tried to scam me but I simply ignored.
I know SJP tried to scam me again, and I simply ignored again.
I know others who've known about this situation as well.
It's a dirty, sneaky, filthy, unfortunate situation for multiple parties. And I'm sure the Law will win in the end.

I can't believe we've gotten to this type of self promotion from a person supposedly affiliated with the site. May not be against the manifesto but it certainly is unethical.
Leads me to believe the whole ruse was not an employment opportunity or affiliation but rather a paid for spot on the site.
X amount to the site for the front page column for so long and then a free pass at garnering business for the payee'e new site. I would suggest the paid for opportunity is about to expire in the near future and this persona will soon be a thing of the past.
I rather doubt the moderating staff would be privy to this type of sham any more that they are privy to the recommended books list on the front page. And both of those paid spots leave a rather rank odor here.
It is all business gents and not our business to run.
I can certainly offer my opinion..........................
This is an absolutely disgusting turn of events and a real black eye for this site.

And the shitting of bricks can also be because what hasn't came to light yet - who knows what else they got going on that is scam related.

#444 Posted: 5/3/2012 4:53:31 PM I'm telling you all this is going to end in charges of some sort. Clearly this was fraud in at least one way shape or form.
If ESPN hadn't been involved it might be a different story but they are too big a name for this all to be swept under the rug. Usually I subscribe to the "any publicity is good publicity" rule too, but not in this case
Not to mention people now know where "she" lives, these 2 are terrified right now. To quote Turkish: "Tommy...the tit is praying, and if he isn't....he friggin should be." |

#445 Posted: 5/3/2012 4:56:05 PM No way that "Sarah" and "Prasad" are enjoying this. Scam artists want to operate in the dark, and there is too much personal information about these two out there now -- photos, names, etc.. This is bad news for them for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped town to be honest.

funny you mentioned that, I remember someone bringing this up about a year ago saying that covers was letting SJP use pictures of someone else and they were going to be held accountable if that person ever found out that their image was being used fraudulently.
