Really like the Rays here. Blue Jays have huge expectations to live up to and this couldnt be a worse matchup for them facing one of the best right handers in the AL on the road in a spacious historically friendly pitchers park. Archer is the real deal and this might be the last time we get him at -115 at home all season.
I will have a solid card as Opening day continues tomorrow at topflightsportsinfo dot com
Lets start MLB off right today!!!
Gotta keep rolling with TPS!!! Hope we can get the baseball thing going since it is the only thing once mid summer comes along!!

Baseball seems pretty tough considering 2 best pitchers for each team toe the rubber on opening day. What do baseball cappers look at? I tend to look for mismatches in starting pitching predominately but, then again, I never had a lot of success with baseball!
Bullpens are what you look at starting pitching is where most cappers go wrong. One way of getting around a bad bullpen is five inning plays with a strong starting pitcher. Take the bullpen out of the equation. You could bet the best starting pitchers every game laying the juice and even if they have their usual great seasons lose money.

Rueck has done a great job at Oregon State and has the conference's best offensive and defensive player. The so called "Swish Sisters" average about 31 ppg combined. On the other end of the court is the best player in NCAAW, Stewart and she is surrounded by scorers in Tuck, Jefferson, Nurse, Samuelson. The Beavers do play tenacious defense but facing UConn is a whole other beast. Auriemma has the mindset and the weapons to overpower the Beavers. I think there is value here since Oregon State has suffered a couple 20+ point losses this season (UCLA, Stanford) and UConn has won every single game on their schedule by double digits. Only 3 of those wins were by less than 20. Stewart shuts down Weisner here. UConn gets win #74 in a row and it comes in regular blow out fashion.

I do like this as a first 5 play too. Think both are solid plays. If I had to pick I would say I like the full game more here but Archer at low juice 1st 5 innings is a solid play.

Well, I just now finished watching the last period of the women's Beavers (GOTTA love that name! hahahaha) @ UCONN with UCONN just barely pushing with a last shot close to the end of the game.
Those women missed shot after shot after shot on both sides. Horrible, if you ask me.
I totally lucked out getting a push here.
And the periods (the IRONY of that word, too!) are only 10 MINUTES long each. Huh, 10 minutes? SMH
I don't think that I'll ever bet women's BB again.

I guess I should post something myself. Under 209in the Laker game. Why. First the Lakers tend to go under at home on Sunday 8-2 under last 10. The Lakers are really NOT interested in this game. They start a 2 game series with the Clippers after this and having beaten Boston last 2 have no real interest in this game. Refs are moderately under. Boston playing away as a road fav in this range 0-3 under and in the 205 to 209.5 range are 1-5 under this season. I would class this as a C+ bet. Not a top bet but well in the range for an average bet. GL

Any thoughts on the pacers game tonight I have a friend who wants to bet me the pacers -4?
I'm staying away from this game myself. Pacers do not have a good record on the 2nd half of the back2back games. They struggled a bit to get past 76'ers, but the team has decent depth so none of the players other than Paul George played big minutes. Hopefully George's knee/leg is okay, if he struggles today that is not good news laying the points.
Knicks are sitting a lot of their starters today and for the rest of the season due to injury and wear and tear. Carmelo is sitting tonight. Calderon is out for the season. Porzingis is out for sure today and the next game or two as well. Likely he is done for the year.
Even with the starters sitting out, Knicks reserves are not bad. Jerian Grant looks decent, as does Derrick Williams. Plus, as far as I know Affalo, Galloway, and Lopez are playing. So Pacers cannot have a let done and think they can walk away with a win here.
Pacers should be the more motivated team today since they are clinging to the 8 seed and only 2 games ahead of Chicago and 1/2 game back of Pistons for 7 seed. But, Knicks do have a decent home record (at least compared to road record), and young teams do like to play the role of spoiler.
I've spent a bit of time looking at this game and just can't decide. I think 7 points is a bit too much. It's not like Pacers have been playing great ball. They are 5-5 in their last 10 and lost two straight at home before beating the 76'ers on the road in a tight game. Actually, I see the line is now Pacers -7.5. Interesting.

Any NBA players Give me reason why GS doesn't cover -12
Golden St is only like 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games. They have been playing fairly sloppy with too many turnovers. It is hard to cover these large spreads when the team is turning the ball over so much.
Having said that, Portland has been bad (mostly on defense) on the road and may play right into Golden St. strength. If Thompson can bust out of his mini shooting slump, Golden St will have a good shot. Lilliard seems to always play well against them though. I'm thinking the over may be a decent bet tonight.

I think the under has a decent shot. I would not exactly say that Lakers have NO interest in this game though. Lakers/Celtics is amongst the most hated rivalries in sports. Playing or not, Kobe will be cracking the whip on the young players to try to knock off the hated Celtics. But since Lakers can be offensively challenged, they will have to do it through hustle and defense (uh oh). At least the Celtics may still be hung over from some serious partying after knocking off Golden St. Most teams don't play well the next game, especially against a crappy opponent. So I'm on the under as well
