I bet against Winky once and very heavily on Williams! I have to check my 2007 logs, but I think I did a Bernard prop to win by decision. Not big, just what I thought. The Williams fights was a rare fight I feared no headbutt, no cut or swelling on Williams as his punch output would overwhelm Wright. It did and I really went over that fight so many times, what scared be is not one scenario I could see Winky winning... usually indicates not great handicapping but a blind spot.

i have been very successful with winky. i bet heavy against him with a williams decision and had a bernard decision as well.

but my biggest win was with the taylor fight. after a successful night of card counting with my team of MIT undergrads, i dropped 100 units for fun on the draw that paid me a cool 180k.

The way to beat Winky is to just have a high punch output or move in and out. He fights flat footed and is probably even slower now that he is much older.

Frank.. it was rhetorical meant towards me (lol-i assumme) Actually 2005 after WSOP I was 50/50 on Taylor/Hopkins and using the force... a woman's intuition. She said, Go with the new guy, he'll win. Bet 5k and laughed... couldn't get her opinion next fight as she was outty! Rare I don't believe in high levels of luck or superstition...but this girl lived in Vegas 6 years..played everything except my old degenerate game...dice. Hit the craps table at Alladin (now PH), and 5  casino's each day winning BIG. The funny part is I layed out 5k across and 5k on her number 5... it hit, hit hit hit. THey thought I was like a whale offering the panaroma room suite that had all windows with a jacuzzi set in one corner. I bet high..not millions.LOL. I was a minow... but I started with all I would lose on a roll, she rolled over 1 hour as dice players know the damage can be done. After her...I played once...since 2006 only dicr once. Not including C-LO! Holla if you play?

Actually I didn't follow boxing closely when Winky fought Mosley in March 2003. I think it was on HBO (not PPV) and was mildly shocked Winky won. Only because his lack of offense and his ability to make good fighters appear bad through me off. Also.. besides a few bets 2001-2002, my focus was getting a close on a major Insurance Software Account by Jan 31, 2003. Then it was just like Amir ... Pina Colada time. I was in a ranch in Florida, I only traveled to watch the Discovery Launch on March 8th 2003, and just chilled, went to my first full live rodeo... it was more for kids. Not like TV with World Class Event Competition.
Qncyk1: Congrats on 2 more winners.

2006 Draw to Taylor (I always considered Lederman precise with scorecards and rules... 114-114 he saw it.): I was surprised Winky felt he did so much that it wasn't close to a draw and left the ring immediately. Surprising to me as Winky is class and I never followed to see if he apologized, kept silent, etc... Taylor had a bubble on his eye, WInky's face was marked nicely. That was another close fight. The past 10 years we have seen more and more closer scores for 2 reasons. 12 rounds makes it even, 6 each...15 rounds you would have to have a tied round. Also, much older fights 15 rounds really made major fatigue and mistakes and huge punches changes outcomes. Around again to 12 or 15? Meldrick Taylor last time I heard an interview I wanted to cry for the man. He never fought 15? 1988-1992 he had 6 twelve round fights.. then the huge decline.
2005 during the Taylor-Hopkins fights, I had a friend (many others too) said within 2 years boxing will be history. I tried explaining the years of tradition, the average person can see and understand boxing... when MMA fights go ground the average person has no clue what person has advantage and they all say it's boring,
I remember a clip from Georges St. Pierre  in and outburst with Silva, etc... and then complaining about money problem and why little Manny Pacquiao getting 40 million a fight. For live attendance, MMA is lively and fun, for the average PPV person (like I have said) the majority revenues (90% area) are from people who watch a little NFL and Super Bowl. They don't want to pay $60 no matter how many fighter fight as they prefer and understand the KO punch, and wait for it... MMA takes it away (not always).
Just a few thoughts to chew on.. and answer found for Winky (maybe apologizing, or justifying.. please note as I'm curious where it ended.
Thanks... Don't miss Super-Size Mega Dome Head Bradley get it split open by PACMAN! Or Mayweather.. I'm finishing a write-up.... He is a much liver dog than Bradley. I know I'll take heat, but the food ain't good till it gets cookin!

I started betting100k swing poker days in 05, so boxing took a financial seat. I watched, but not trained, studied enough to compare. Playing 16 limit holdem games (8 hu 200-400) the rest 300-600 & up... then first fight was Taylor 05 for me!
If I wasnt working as much, those Mosley fight were money... Vernon showed the tall fighter vs counter puncher range that Mosleys speed couldn't being known as one of the fastest athletic counter punchers.
Nice catch.. bad year was 2001, Lewis, Zab & Tito. After that, rarely did I bet more than 2-1...favs... since, +EV is impeccable. Did bet huge on Lewis 8/5 over Tyson...and under and by ITD.

when are you going to start making plays? i asked  two weekends ago and you came up with nothing(i had condit/werdum which i posted on the mma forums).

we have chisora/vitali, sanchez/ellenberger,struve/hermann, simpson/markes and maidana/alexander. please give us you picks beforehand as its very easy to make calls after the fact.

but you should know that since you are one for four since posting here nine months ago.

four plays in nine months? with a person of your expertise and knowledge that far exceeds everyone here as you have self-proclaimed? only four plays?

speaking of plays, im now nine for twelve on published plays here on the covers forum. and thats with me not condescendingly talking down to people while thinking im the smartest guy here.

winners, zouk.

we want those winners.

QUOTEHe talks like a child with HE DA MAN GONNA FINISH ME. Read this... he makes a ridiculous challenge cause he believe no fighter even accomplished it.. Trick question it would be.. he's to stupid to know it happened. HERE IT IS ! Post #32 and my reply that I WON Post #33! Another member proved him wrong in post #40!
He now REFUTES my fighter... then switches to

and if pbf suffers an acccidental headbutt(not uncommon between orthodox and southpaws) the odds will drastically increrase in favor of ortiz, a 5-1 dog.

He was accurate..LOLOLOLOLO!. Mayweather OWNED him, and I think that was the one of the most intentional (lol-accidental headbutts EVER). Nice analysis. 100% wrong on ALL...even the accidental headbutt... Ortiz tried his best for a lunging intentional KO Headbutt and Floyd gave him the fade. THIS KID IS APPARENTLY 15 and a Clown.

Last: I was 0-3

This shows a sore loser... it's in the post.(READ: I was first 0-3... any analysis I did...NO, it had to do with 8 people here tied in fun tournies that have a playoff forced fight to pick as doubles... (I picked Khan/Over ... Parlay Jackson/Alves - Do they look EXTREMELY different than when I make a play and show a breakdown like this when you said I never won??? Now read a real pick and breakdown that shows how a fight goes and why.. HERE!
So I made one play and I was 0-3...smart kid!

Notice his challenge "QUESTION" went from :
A:"name one fighter at 130-154 that had success after the age of 35.i'm only asking for one."
then after 2 different fighters names... he changes his question to
B:" i asked for an example of a 130-154 fighter that has been successful after the age of 35. i refuted pep because of his subpar competition(detailed in my previous post) and that he was not indeed successful against elite competition let alone b-level competition. i've got 685 posts on the ESB forums(under the same monicker), the premier boxing website. in fact, the only reason i started an account here on covers was to specifically thank one of the best cappers here on the baseball forums, Bodio."

It's movie quote time again for this KID : Full Metal Jacket Quotes on IMDb: Movies, TV, Celebs, and more... ... Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: What is your major malfunction, numbnuts?

NOT EXACTLY WHO, I THOUGHT IT WAS WALKTHELINE (NO OFFENSE TO HIM IF I'M WRONG). I ASSUME A DISPUTE... JUST TO LET YA KNOW IF YOU SEE IT THAT, I DON'T CLOWN WITH REAL MEMBERS THAT KNOW BOXING AND MAKE WELL WRITTEN POSTS! I'VE HAD WORDS WITH WALKTHELINE BUT HE'S USUALLY SOLID.
EVEN THESOULPURPOSE, BUT I PROPOSED HIM NOT TO POST FACTS, BUT NICE ANALYSIS OF FIGHTS... AND HE PROVED HIS WORTH (WELL DONE SOUL).
FREDTHEGODSON HAS POSTED SOME VERY NICE STUFF, I DISAGREE HIS STUFF LATELY, BUT THAT'S THE POINT OF DISCUSSION. IF WE ALL AGREED, WHY POST?

anyday you want to play at Baldwin or Ivey Room... msg me here! I will show. who is jimmy chan? I stated 44-0-0-2DQs for MA/KB to be exact, most of it was for Zen Do Kai (look it up).... never promoted fights (worked with to company's) and other kid I talked about here or other site, was Mike Faragon out of CP area in NY. He premiered the Nov 10, 2007 undercard of Mosley-Cotto and is now with Golden Boy! Look every fact up. YOU ARE A CHILD. SO EZ TO have you just repeat my life... get it right and get your own life, living off me is getting parasitic! GAME OVER ....I dare you to name one  fighter that was 38 and 172lbs on his 29th bout and the #1 Contender for the WBS....BS.... make up another history fact! You did so well when you lost. But I notice no answer again! When you are a man, and say, I LOST, then you can stop paper postering me and get your own!
