Give me the American on the WTA side, they have been dominant and showing great fight. Pliskova hasn't looked sharp except for her last match, she went 3 sets with a few mediocre players. Coco has been solid and is worth backing on her home soil especially at these odds.

What's your reasoning?.... always appreciate your insight on games Pack..... I feel it's 50/50 and with + odds and being on American soil makes me feel that COCO is a no brainer

From my pov, Pliskova isn't paying what I'd expect her to pay if those in the know felt she was going to lose. Nothing about her line invites me to bet her = tells me the books want money on Coco.
Coco has won 2 of 4 meetings, but (1) her most recent loss was on clay, her worst surface so it has no relating relevance to this coming match, and (2) their first meeting (Coco's other loss) was so long ago (2013) that it's basically irrelevant considering how much they've both come on as players since that point in time. So nothing about their recent/relevant hth-stats-per-the-odds say bet Pliskova before betting Coco. Pliskova had had an out of sorts year with her best Slam result - a SF - coming on her worst surface, the clay of Roland Garros, whereas Coco's best Slam result - a SF - came on the only other hard court Slam (the AO), so there's another angle that says Coco over the Czech.
As for how other Americans have been going, don't see the relevance here. Keys, Stephens & Williams have all benefited from the welter of earlier upsets delivering easier draws than they otherwise w/could've expected (Venus beats Muguruza instead of Kvitova? Nope. Mugu just has problems with lefties on outdoor hard courts: against lefties ranked inside the top 50 in those conditions she's now 1-5 SU after her loss to Kvitova here). Venus still has old legs; Keys is still the same ole headcase who has no excuses for losing a 1st set against a weak armed woman like Vesnina playing her first ever 4R match at a USO; and what to make of Stephens' sudden revival? She's been in blistering form in recent times, but her 2 losses to decent players in amidst this form have been utterly one way traffic and she still gives the crowd nothing on court for them to engage, so what is really going on in her head? Her coming SF against Venus should reveal whether she really has turned a corner, or has simply mustered a purple patch somehow out of nowhere amidst an otherwise dying career.

Great insight sandique thanks
You probably staying away from the game altogether after your analysis but who would you put your money on?

Pliskova has not impressed me since the Rogers Cup..... she has just done enough to get by and stay number 1, I've seen her live multiple times..... I feel Coco will use the crowd to her advantage and play an outstanding match today.

Gun to my head forcing me to make a pre-match bet, I'd take the Over. I struggle to see either player winning in straights easily, wouldn't be surprised at a tie breaker in one of the first 2 sets, which if so would make it hard for Under to cash.

Great job Sandique and Pack.... respect your opinions..... we should be discussing about every game like this instead of people nagging and complaining after 3 points that this player or that player sucks, that their bet is toast... etc etc etc

1st set stats make strange reading. KP pulled it back in the late stages of the set, yet still lost. Only 1 point won against serve in the tie break, rare even for the ATP let alone the WTA.
Coco serving first in the 2nd set isn't good news for the Czech. Coco likes to make the front running.

Woohoo up a set saved a set point.. it's gonna be a roller coaster.. FYI the lady who has won the first set has won all 3 head to heads in thisnmatchup.. hope that stays true today :)
