conditions favour Nadal big time for the rest of the tourney especially for the semis on Friday, hot and windy, should he meet the Joker.
not only the conditions but the total mindset for Nole, he must win vs Rafa and then another match in the final to go all the way. Also, Rafa lost alot of finals vs Novak and playing vs him in the semis, he will not have that mental barrier of losing yet another final.
i would have liked Nole if they played in the final, but not in the semis.

did you watch last years final? i have 10 units on rafa future and i was sweating my pants on the match. rafa took 2-0 set lead and then nole came, took a set and was in front and RAIN bailed out rafa
Rafa was in top form then, no injuries.....see the results in last 10-12 finals between them and then talk.

Rafa has won 3 of the last 4 finals they have met in.
34 times total they have played,
RAFA has won 19 of them.

So what you're saying is that Novak is absolutely shitting his shorts because not only does Rafa have a winning record against him but he has absolutely owned him in non-finals............
I don't believe that for a second. Novak knows he can win, he has plenty of reasons for confidence and Nadal knows if he plays at the top of his game, he's the best ever.
And your several surfaces comment
Clay.........best ever Nadal
Grass......Not much evidence either way (neither guy in the Fed/Sampras class)
Hard courts....Novak has a definite edge, but it's not as though Rafa is a slouch and tough to make an argument that Djoko is the best ever.
So unless you want to get into the gradations of hard court and count them separately, it looks like a fairly clear edge to Nadal (from here and to me).
