Anytime you have a number 10 player against a number 45 player and the line is barely in favor of the higher ranked player, you should look hard at the "dog". Plus, Barthel has already beaten vinci and radwanska this week. So she's obviously playing decent tennis.

Based on what happened in this and AO, a lot of players who had to go to full lengths lost their next matches. Barthel did not do well in the past after she won a few matches in a row. She is not one of the top players.

I have no opinion on the winner here, but thinking that a youngster like Barthel is going to be tired is just plain ignorant,,,these players are professional athletes and for the most part are some of the best conditioned athletes in the world besides soccer players...unless someone is legitimately fat which is rare for a top 50 player, no way these girls lose because they are tired from a tough match the day before
