#2 Posted: 8/4/2012 10:08:14 AM I can't believe you didn't include Graf - the winning-est player of all time and only one to win the golden slam. She is the best in terms of records. |

#10 Posted: 8/4/2012 10:57:59 AM Graf in her prime would push Serena. I guarantee Graf would never be embarrassed in a match vs the beast. Serena would take 6/10 matchs vs Graf
Assuming Graf played in this era, she would have better racquets better training better nutrition better everything. Her powerful forehand would be equivalent to federer's forehand in the women's game, and she'd have the best slice one hander in the game, and would be able to hit more often a one handed topspin backhand with these new racquets for winners too. Graf had a huge serve back in her day, and mentally she was unbeatable.
What an amazing matchup career wise these two would've been.
Also, a non-stabbed Monica Seles would've gone toe to toe with serena,,, but her weaker push serve most likely have hampered her success against Serena's return game

#12 Posted: 8/4/2012 12:35:31 PM Beauty versus the Beast! Anyone recall a Martina Navratilova? She had a rather good record too. Serena rolled through Azarenka who had a no. 1 ranking and one slam and Maria with her 4 career slams and most recent French Open. Very impressive to me. |

#14 Posted: 8/4/2012 2:07:03 PM Graf kicks her behind most of the time, especially when Serena played her way into shape and she had the serve to hurt Serena's return game... |

#15 Posted: 8/4/2012 2:14:03 PM Serena when dedicated is the best ever in a landslide. People forget how much time she wasted with injuries and lack of commitment. How many majors did she not win because it was Venus's turn? |

#20 Posted: 8/4/2012 6:34:14 PM let's amuse ourselves just for the sake of it to see how Serena fares in a different time/generation even though comparing generations and different eras is pointless...

#23 Posted: 8/5/2012 12:05:14 PM how about dedication on your dimensions? I'm so sorry but I actually overweight that or do you disregard athletes that just waste their gifts and you know they could have been better? Shaq could have been the greatest center of all time if he ever played defense and stayed in shape...could have had way more rebounds and blocks...Graf and Navr always gave you their money's worth and you never got cheated...many people paid to see events where Serena didn't care |
