Whats the ct? Core? There is no restriction for 3 woods but 3 woods have to heave certain loft and length of shaft. I have heard several adams/Taylormade reps asking but have gotten no answer from callaway or the tour

Hmmm...well if that's the case wouldn't it just be a lofted driver? GolfWeek was at the Callaway truck this week at Augusta, and those were the specs they sent out.

I smell a controversy brewing.....When is it legal for a manufacturer to bring a new club to a professional and are they forced to provide an actual model to be tested for conformity before it can put into play?
After doing a very small amount of digging this is on the honor system. I guess, the manufacturers are required to stay within certain parameters but only after a club is shown to have not been built to specs have they in the past put it on the non conformance list. That being said there is some amount of murmuring between manufacturers that Callaway is stonewalling a little on releasing the exact technology claiming proprietary protection while issuing a flat statement that the club is within giving tolerances and conforms. An interesting test to the honor system giving the tournament would be long over before any real testing could be done.
I'm not suggesting any attempt to deceive here by Callaway or Phil but at what point does a star like phil have an unfair advantage over a guy that say is 140 on the money list when it comes to having a club manufactured specifically for him right before a large prestigious tournament such as the Masters never mind whether it is within a hairline of conformance.
We all know that star power propels sports but in golf the question of how level the playing field is has never been more at question and Phil and Callaway are not helping it out by using the masters to promote products or giving the impression that Callaway has provide Phil with some new secret weapon that will give him an advantage over the field.Long putter, two drivers, and now a "2" wood built to three wood specs with a driver shaft and a "compliant core and face"
Stinks of elitism is nothing else if you ask me..
just one mans opinion
