#1 Posted: 6/18/2010 2:14:43 AM He is a shell of his former self.
I don't know if it is age, performance enhancement drugs, or family problems. But he is nowhere close to what we have seen before.
He reminds me of Mike Tyson after the loss to Buster Douglas. Thought he could regain the dominance but never did.
1st hole today. All 3 guys hit iron off the tee. Tiger was the furthest back. That is not the Tiger of old.
He can talk and justify all he wants. Jack's major record is safe. Tiger will be lucky to win 1 more major.

#3 Posted: 6/18/2010 3:41:08 AM Tiger girl at the condition of the greens.

Same greens as he putted on in 2000.
Excuses excuses excuses.
What will his excuse be when he plays Fri am on smooth greens??
I'm guessing he shoots 2 under and gets back in the tournament. Then he won't say garbage about the greens.
This guy is desperate. He's not winning the 2010 US Open. He MIGHT get back in contention but he won't hold up the trophy Sun night.
Keep up the excuses Tiger. You are finished as an elite golfer.

#4 Posted: 6/18/2010 4:30:27 AM So the dude is probably going through one of the toughest times of his life this year and you say he is finished?
Youre clueless... Tiger will be winning again as soon as he starts getting box and has his wife/exwife off his back. |

#7 Posted: 6/18/2010 11:18:40 AM disagree dude. his ball striking yesterday was very, very strong...made a couple of mistakes and a pair of 3 putts hurt, but from inside 10-feet he is still one of the best putters in the world. if he putts well today, I expect him to be around par or better...I like his chances for good play today enough to take him against westwood today. all the outside stuff is just that....outside stuff......he will win another major before his career is over.

I have no doubt that Tiger and Alex Rodriguez are looking for a new connection and as soon as that happens all should be okay.
It is such a coincedence isn't it, their HGH doctor goes down and both their games are questionable. Like I said, I wonder why they had to go out of the country to find a doctor, who operated illegally in the US.. |

I criticized Kobe Bryant for cheating on his wife and then bringing his wife and kids on the postgame podium like he is a great family man. That is what you call a fraud.
Go ahead and bash away in the Kobe thread. This is a thread about how far Tiger has dropped as far as elite golfers are concerned.

Great call on this thread. He's winning this major and will smash Jacks record before 40.

#20 Posted: 6/19/2010 8:59:40 PM look at this stretch of golf. There is nobody else on the planet capable of playing like this.
Tiger playing inconsistently but better than he has been in the past few months will still break Jack's record when it's all said and done. If Tiger actually returns to form, he will obliterate it. |

Great job Tiger. You played your behind off and you gained exectly 0 strokes on the leader.
Dustin Johnson will win this tournament. He didn't play especially great but overpowers the course to shoot low. Now he is nowhere in the same class as the old Tiger but he overpowers this course like Tiger used to.
Tiger can't do that anymore and it's a shame these 2 can't play together tomorrow so Tiger can get an up close look at how far his game has fallen.
Nice round today "Tyson" but you don't have the game to win the big fights anymore.
Tiger winning the 2010 U.S. Open.

#25 Posted: 6/19/2010 11:31:23 PM Tiger has too much determination to not win another major. It's what he plays for, it's what he works the hardest for. Yeah he has played like absolute garbage this entire year, and it may continue on for the rest of the year, but for him to not win another major the rest of his career is just beyond stupid on your part. |
