#6 Posted: 8/4/2012 1:30:44 AM Defensively japan has been solid, and yes thy do not have their best offense and egypt is another great surprise but i so nit see them scoring here either i see a 0-0 or 1-1 worst case scenario. Like to play small parlays with bug prices everynow and then and on this stage they will not have many goals. |

#7 Posted: 8/4/2012 1:31:56 AM Egypt will also lack some of the quality that helped them qualify for the quarterfinals when they lose all three senior members due to club commitments. Mohammed Aboutrika has been stellar for Egypt throughout the group phase, but the in form attacking midfielder will return to Egypt to re-join domestic giants Al Ahly for their African Champions League tie this weekend. He won’t be alone as fellow senior members, and Al Ahly teammates, Ahmed Fathy and Emad Moateb have a similar agreement and are unavailable for selection by head coach Hany Ramzy on Saturday. |

#13 Posted: 8/4/2012 1:50:39 AM This should be an outstanding match with lots of pace and chances coming from both sides. Both teams are capable of winning and I wouldn’t be surprised if these two teams play for more than 90 minutes on Saturday. With that being said I believe the Senegalese attack could catch the Mexicans off guard early, finding El Tri chasing an equalizer. It’s unlikely Senegal will be able to hold a clean sheet against the class Mexico displays up top, which makes this match a solid candidate for both sides to score and worth the extra juice. |

After reading your comment i thought to myself: what? Egypt advances in Olympic Tournament and an Egyptian club is making the mistake of taking away 3 important players? So i decided to investigate and i found out that Al Ahly changed it's mind in order to support the national team. They are not recalling the players and Egypt has a full squad to play tomorrow. You can find the info in the following link: http://www.kingfut.com/2012/08/03/japan-vs-egypt-the-samurai-blue-take-on-the-pharaohs-for-a-place-in-the-london-2012-semis/ By the way, i see this game really tight and going to extra time if not PK's |

And it wasn't close 3-0 not close to pk. You guys are silly if you thought japan would lose to Egypt... I have a friend from Egypt, after listening to him explain why this country struggles on the field - i knew they had no chance against japan... FYI japan m/w fitness levels are very high... |
