Actually ignore this advice. It becomes a slippery slope if you put different stipulations on payments because of any reason other than the final score. Tell him that it is the breaks but it is called "the way it is".

It was close, i don't know why people are getting so crazy about it and saying that it was a no-brainer interception. it was close. so are a lot of calls. this isn't a fault of the refs' experience. i think the normal refs could have easily made the same decision

You aren't obligated to do this, but it's what I would do because of how the game ended and because he is your friend.

The game changing call just game earlier and that game, but was equally ridiculis maybe even more so. Anyhow, I'd have take you out for beer and wings on Thursday and call it square. I had a $100 bet at the beginning of march madness with my friend many years ago when arizona won it at 30/1. He didn't collect $3,000 from me but drinks were on me for the next year.
