Dad has it.  He had a incident where he passed out and went to the hospital.  His cardiologist sent him to have a sleep study done, he stopped breathing 30+ times an hour and now wears a cpap device while sleeping.  No issues since.

I have it, my dad has it, my uncles on both sides of my family have it.

I use a b-pap machine and have had no issues for the last 6 years.

My wife appreciates it as well as I nolonger snore.

I have it also, and have for a long time. Not only do a sleep study, get a physical also, there are other issues that contribute to sleep apnea. Good luck.

Statitically sleep apnea is a leading silent killer.Keep a pillow beneath your neck to keep your airway open (sleeping on your back) until you can get in to see a sleep specialist.

Dr Ralph Pasquali (sp) is the the best in the country literally. Located in Seattle. Good referal might come out of that office if you're not on the West coast.

Take care.

Obesity. Hereditary, booze, weed, scrips - ENT problems etc. Been through this with a good friend every step at J Memorial Miami. There's a surgical procedure that's available as well that your Dr might spot.

I think I have it. I wake up tired and feel like I got my behind kicked. My eyes are swollen, my chest is sore, and my body is sore. My chick says I scare her when I sleep, so I need to get it checked. Sometimes I feel like she kicks my behind when I sleep.

The lab sleep test is a fuckin ripoff - they plaster you with EKG stickers and all sorts of other crap. Doctors order it and it costs a fortune for a massive bill. If you're a tempermental sleeper then tell him no.

Have your woman video tape you sleeping for 30 minutes with audiio an video.

It's better to be safe than sorry. Get the sleep study.

See an ENT specialist

I had the surgery done. Most painful thing I had done. They take out your tonsils, uvula (looks like a little punching bag hanging in your mouth) and part of your soft palate (back of the roof of your mouth). This opens up more air flow while you are sleeping.

It was painful but the surgery did work..GL

try losing some weight.

i had to go get tested for a physical for certification, and they confirmed what i knew all along, that i had it pretty bad. Set me up with one of those bullshit machines, i might have worn it once or twice after bringing it home. I lost a bunch of weight and improved my health, and the apnea went away

i have a cpap machine, i can't figure out any good use for, they don't want it back, and you aren't allowed to sell them ( as far as i know),,,that doesn't mean that i cannot trade it away,,,,,

Not always a weight issue. I weigh 190 lbs and needed the surgery. My friend runs everyday and weighs probably 170 and he needed the surgery too. Think it is mostly hereditary

Kush is sativa isn't it?  Need to change up the weed you smoke.  Go indica as someone else suggested in this thread and you'll sleep just fine.

Not this.  Sleep apnea is no joke and there isn't a drug in the world that will cure it.

I was at the Nascar race in Talladega this weekend and a guy in our camper would stop breathing for 15 seconds at a time...then he'd cough, choke, snort, grasp for air.....then the same thing would happen 3 or so times per minute.  The guy sounded like he was going to die. I had to go sleep in a car because of the racket.  I begged the guy to go have a sleep study done.   No idea if he will follow through.

But don't screw with this.  Ask anyone who has a c-pap machine and they will tell you it's a life saver.

The past 10 years I'd say I've become more of a snorer...I'm only 25 right now, and I've had a few complaints of snoring while I sleep, and it sounds like I'm choking every now and then. While getting a physical, I brought it up to my doctor and he suggested a sleep study. My parents both have had it done, and they found nothing wrong with them. They both snore fairly heavy, but both in pretty good shape.

I go in for the study, and yes it does suck getting all the wires pasted onto you, and it's difficult to get to sleep. Mid way through the test, they "qualify" you for the c-pap machine and you wear it the rest of the night.

All said and done, I qualified (83% oxygen level was where I dipped to...they like to see mid 90's%) I'm able to get a machine, but haven't yet. Other options are getting my HUGE tonsils removed. Doctor said it's an option, but wouldn't guarantee a cure.

Guy I work with also did the sleep study a month after I did, and has the machine and still is having issues getting used to it and finding the correct mask.

I have one in Toronto at the end of this month.

Prescribed by a neurologist after a heart incident.

I'll fill you in on it.  It seems a little  to me, but whatever . . .

pretty sure kush is indica. have a appt with sleep doctor next week, hopefully get a sleep study done. i feel like this is causing other health problems. the thing i don't understand is how quickly and without warning this issue became a problem. it's almost to the point i dread going to sleeping everynight cause i wake up feeling like garbage.

Years ago - I snored super loud in bed at night - during the day I was exhausted and was fighting falling asleep here and there during the day.  I ended up doing a sleep study - the first time/night  they hooked me up to a bunch of monitors, etc ( no big deal ) - they videotaped and monitored me the entire night.  After that night they told me I had a bunch of " apnea episodes " through the night.  They said I def. had a problem.  The oxygen in your brain shuts off - it can cause a heart attack or even death - serious stuff.

So - I went back for another sleep study - this time I wore a mask / used a cpap machine - and I had a great night of sleep - even in the medical center I was at for the test.

I ended up getting a c-pap machine - and it has improved my sleeping 100% - plus I dont snore anymore.  Ive had the machine now for about 10 years now.

Sleep Apnea is no joke - get that study done asap - get on the machine - you have all the classic signs.

FYI - Reggie White  HOF DE for the Eagles ( RIP ) - he had sleep apnea - it killed him one night -  I believe he was only 45 or something.  serious stuff.

good luck man.
