I, like many think suicie is cowardly and box garbage ...but how would you know about being to war? being abused or concused?

Some people are weaker than others...i.e. idiots that off themselves because they were bullied at school ... but perhaps seeing your friends blown apart, participating in friendly fire, or killing innocents puts someone in a dark place... thinking you should be the one that died or killed a woman, and eldery man or children can weigh tremendously on an individual

Being molested? think that can scar a person up pretty good under certain circumstances...if your uncle stuck a broom stick up your behind for years while other family members stood idle make make you feel pretty worthless.

Concussions...unless you had multiple ones and your brain is all scrambled no one can really say what's it's like...and of course the roids didn't make anything better

it's a weak move yes...but many aren't that strong to overcome guilt, isolation, etc.

unacceptable to many yes... the only solution to someones demons, burdens, etc. ... yes

oh well...better him than me

Look it's pretty apparent to me that there was obviously more going on here. If there wasn't then IMO he doesn't choose the chest. It's purely speculation at this point but it seems as if he knew something was "off" up there in his brain, otherwise why the chest?!?

Deurson obviously didn't inspire this but I have a very strong feeling that his decision paved the path for Junior's as far as exactly where, because he knew his brain would be studied and analyzed, which seems like that's what he wanted. If he didn't think there were any problems which stemmed from head trauma/concussions then he doesn't choose the chest IMO.

Thoughts are a bit cluttered this morning so I apologize but you should still be able to see what I'm getting at here...

Another thing, and I discussed this at length with a buddy of mine last night, this could be the most disturbing thing too...As horrifying and shocking as it is, and it very much is, we can't be sure that these tragic deaths will not continue to happen. We know very little about the long term effects of severe concussions or head trauma. It's extremely sad but what can we do really? Really want to know what comes out of the research and analysis in Boston...

Once again RIP Junior

Well regardless of what they do or don't find, there is a storm coming...

And with it a lawsuit for a number most of us cannot even fathom. If action of some sort isn't taken, and soon...there may not be a National Football League much longer.

You could pay off a good chunk of the US debt with the amount this eventual lawsuit is going to be worth.

People like you make me and pretty much everyone else sick. You are lost and stuck in the 1960's. Mental health issue's are serious and you know NOTHING of Seau's situation. You are a clown.

Absolutely suicide is a selfish act ...............but you are certainly demonstrating how much of a shallow thinking loser you really are.  Do you think he wanted to hurt his family?  Not a friggen chance - so imagine the demons that were torturing him that made suicide appear as the only solution.  Seau a wimp....not a chance.  Sowhat83 - a wimp - in more ways than one.  Grow up.

We are at a critical time in the history of the game. If Seau actually committed suicide, he will be at least the third former NFL player to have killed himself in the span of 15 month, joining Dave Duerson and Ray Easterling. Additionally, Andre Waters killed himself in 2006. Disturbing is just the start of how you describe that trend.

^ nfl withdraw... welcome to the real world folks.

Left his mother without a son, and left his kids without a father. Only people worth feeling sorry for is them.

Heres a fact you should know if you watch sports.

Players get game checks, In the NFL they collect their check the day after their game. Most of the time, they don't even collect it and it is deposited strictly into their bank account.

Its very un-likely Seau was cashing 10k checks every other day, if ever.

you don't seem to get it either person lips.

how do you know that sowhat83 doesn't suffer from severe depression himself but makes a point to keep on striving?

how do you know he hasn't wanted to kill himself and felt like he wanted to end his own life??

The answer is you don't.

There is a difference between being depressed and miserable with horrible emotions and THOUGHTS of killing yourself and actually taking your own life.

it makes no difference including mental health issues OR drug addiction.

today there are plenty of people like seau that frequently and continually feel like killing themselves. they always have since they were in their teens.

Many people every day feel like living may not be the best option but preserver anyway.

Killing yourself is unacceptable.
