#1 Posted: 4/8/2012 9:14:42 AM www.foxsports.com Reported that Warren Sapp has filed bankruptcy. According to the article, Sapp owes $6.7 million to creditors, and back child support, and alimony payments. His assets include 240 pairs of Air Jordan shoes worth almost $6,500K, a watch worth $2,250K, and a lion skin rug worth $1,200K. He also reported losing his Super Bowl and National Championship Rings. His income includes a monthly payment over $115K. $45K from Showtime, $48K from CCA Sports, and $18K for a book deal.
Just another "SPOILED STUPID behind JOCK". darn him. I have absolutely no respect for any man who does'nt financially take care of his children due to a divorce. My daughter was 18 months old when my wife and I got divorced. For all those years, I "NEVER EVER" missed a child support payment, and I did'nt make a fraction of what those friggin idiots make. Not to mention spending excessive amounts of money on material bullshit. I'm going to stop now, my blood pressure is going sky high. Let me know what you think. |

#2 Posted: 4/8/2012 9:53:38 AM so the guy owes 4 times his earnings but so don't a lot of people (think mortgage). Maybe he should get himself a part time job but that might be beneath him. IMO he's just trying to screw his creditors and duck his responsibilities. Poor Warren , the victim, will hopefully be living in a cardboard box under a Florida overpass some day. But at least he'll be comfortable sleeping on his lion skin rug!

#10 Posted: 4/8/2012 4:05:10 PM If you listen real close, you can hear Jeremy Shockey giggling...........
FYI, Sapp shot his big mouth off saying Shockey was the guy that ratted out the Saints. One of his points he made about Sapp (a fitting name, isn't it?) is that "I don't have four kids by four different women" |

Yeah it's tough though, these athletes go from making a ton of money to help support their lavish lifestyle, however after they retire they don't realize they need to scale back on everything and live within the means. It's a monster that continues to consumer these former pro athletes. Sapp is just another cautionary tale.

#18 Posted: 4/9/2012 1:34:29 AM Warren "Sapp" emphasis on "Sapp", why the darn should he be given a microphone? I always thought it was an insult this moron was given a platform to share his thoughts. Possibly a HOF player is broke within a few years of retiring and I'm supposed to listen to him. I doubt it. |

#21 Posted: 4/9/2012 3:17:03 AM Trust me when I tell you courts are not going to touch that alimony and child support while the the creditors get screwed! He is probably living with them and just trying to darn the system! Even money says they have relatives collecting section 8 vouchers living in properties he owns. Stay classy Warren ! |

I agree with you I too have never been arrears in child support. Only thing I will say in his "defense" and other athletes is they get these gigantic support orders and then the lucrative pay day goes away and it can sometime take awhile to get the order lowered so they're still paying as if they're making millions a year. Plus the point of them not knowing how to scale back once their career is over is a good one. I never liked him anyway and will never have sympathy for former athletes with poor money management |
